What constitutes modern? '85 Benz diesel wagon (turbo): Seats like concrete, numb handling, scary turbo lag, noise, smell, gutless - a true POS. '86/87 Cavalier loaner - junk all around. -
It used to be S.O.P. for GM, DF. Then they "forgot" about it for several decades. It really is a no-brainer, more variety for less expense. ...and higher nameplate sales.

I don't think the coupe will hurt the wagon at all. I'm also happy that GM is finally offering three bodystyles of the same car again. It's an excellent practice that they need to return to.

Back when those cars were new, a guy bought one and immediately stuffed a ZL-1 427 into it. I bet he surprised a few people.

Agreed except I'd flip Lexus and Benz. Not that it matters much, both are terrible.

The 305 can be hotted-up a bit, but it is limited. Now swapping -in an LSx would be another story... :AH-HA_wink:

That's basically the philosophy that I've adopted too - I just need to get out from under first. The total collapse of demand for what I do hasn't helped.
