  1. Could be. I wonder about Atomic and Morpheus too.
  2. http://blog.gmnext.com/?p=46
  3. I'm betting on some GXP-exclusive colors.
  4. As of right now, it isn't coming at all. But the Ute is, in both V6 and V8 flavors. Plan "B" I guess you could say.
  5. The names have been changed from the Holden names. (except Ignition) 11U Hot White 77U Ignition Orange 62U Liquid Red 18U Magnetic Gray 80U Panther Black 25U Stealth Blue
  6. Far be it from me to defend Toyota, but they would also have issued a recall if it were their car. Any "defect" that effects safety directly, is handled by recall.
  7. Well, my Mom actually sent it to me, and I guess she really is sort of "goodie goodie". I just found the pics to be humorous.
  8. If they want to avoid being branded the devil incarnate, they had better invest heavily in alternative fuels. Like, yesterday.
  9. Be nice to others... Some day you may not be the big dog.
  10. Most Americans could use the exercise.
  11. I think a dimensionally smaller Camaro is a good place to start with its implied weight loss. It would also fit the Camaro tradition better than the 5th gen in that respect. As all cars are proportionately smaller than when the most legendary Camaros were built, the 5th gen being even larger than the classic Camaros puts it in an unfamiliar place within the Chevy lineup. Obviously, weight reduction via more expensive materials will have to be part of the recipe as well, especially with a V8 in the lineup. The V8 is, and will always be, a Camaro pre-requisite in my view. Not simply because Camaro's identity is wrapped in V8 legend, but also for the sake of maintaining the levels of torque that make a street-driven performance car worth owning. Stylingwise, an all-new design drawing its heritage cues from a single previous gen is what I'd like to see. My vote would go to the 2nd gen here. It is the generation that would most lend itself to a truly modern shape with tidy proportions. It won't look as "forced" as other gens might.
  12. Ice overnight here, followed by heavy rain today with crazy high temperatures for February to follow for the next few days.
  13. Love it! Phantoms are one of my favorite approaches to creating a personalized car. This one also incorporates the "restomod" concept that also has great appeal for me. This and 442 wagons, and SS wagons, and GTO wagons, along with "off brand" quasi-Caminos are some of my favorite creations. Cars that the factory could have done, but didn't. Expect things like this to be in my "fleet" from time to time. If my budget ever allows, I have a long list of creations like this I'd love to bring to life. Imagine this example: A '96 B-body Impala SS 2-door convertible with LS* power. :AH-HA_wink:
  14. KC, we aren't getting old - we are just "seasoned". :AH-HA_wink: But, yeah, rebound times do increase. Glad to hear that you are getting there.
  15. Since the G8 color selection isn't anywhere near as wide as that of Commodore, we don't yet know what the choices will really be. I suspect that there will be some colors exclusive to the GXP package.
  16. Since the plan has been for Zeta to replace Sigma, this really isn't much of a surprise.
  17. Actually not true beyond B5 biodiesel, modern common-rail diesels have major issues with any higher concentrations. Older more simple diesels don't have these issues.
  18. I think you can count on an optimized e-85 engine as soon as enough e-85 stations exist to support it.
  19. To tell the truth, the plan GM had to bring the wagon and Ute here together was a stinker. That plan called for the Ute to be all high-end V8s with the wagon nothing but V6 automatics. That was a stupid plan. I don't think we've heard the last of the wagon.
  20. As I said, a mix is required. The price of ethanol will be moving downward while the efficiency will be increasing- gasoline and diesel are headed the other way. The domestic nature of ethanol is also nothing to be overlooked.
  21. I remember those! Wow, it's been a while.
  22. My thoughts are with you and yours, NOS.
  23. E-85 is creeping closer to my area now, when it gets here It will become part of my purchasing criteria.
