  1. I like the LT4 option.
  2. All true, but play nice now guys - we have already welcomed Randy in the proper fashion.
  3. If you can't vent to us, then who? Hope you get some relief real soon.
  4. My current full-size Chevy count is up to 11 (one was a GMC). Unless we are counting Suburbans...
  5. Well, you do have a good attitude about it all. Now that we have welcomed you C&G style, enjoy your stay. BTW: I have you beat on the Silverado count. :AH-HA_wink:
  6. Oh yeah, one more thing. IIRC, Chevy trucks have the highest resale in the market.
  7. Think that's bad? Just wait 'til you try to sell that Ridgeline.
  8. Well Randy, you obviously use your Ridgeline for very light duty - and that's a good thing. It's good because that is all that is safe to do with one. It is nothing but a minivan with a trucklike body and reinforcements added to its unibody. It doesn't qualify as a truck because of its structural and mechanical limitations. It is a pretender. I'm glad to hear that you are interested in an Avalanche - there is hope for you yet!
  9. That's beacuse the Chevy actually has a frame, Dodgefan.
  10. Espoma composts it, bags it up, and calls it Plantone.
  11. Thanks for saving me the effort, Oldsmoboi! I don't know what exactly the Ridgeline is, but it isn't a truck.
  12. Do I detect an evil grin? :AH-HA_wink:
  13. Looks like they're trying even harder to make that silly POS appear to be a truck.
  14. Congratulations, Chevyguy! Saw the Cobalt lineup, would have stopped to chat if I knew you were there.
  15. I like that wagon recipe, Carbiz.
  16. Exactly the sort of thing I was looking for, guys. I'll add another Buick tale or too later, have to deal with monday things right now.
  17. Thanks for the responses folks, but I was really hoping for some good stories rather than simple lists. You know, like " I never owned a GMC, but I came close when..." I couldn't even begin to list all the cars I've considered and not bought, but it seems to have happened with Buick the most (of the brands I've yet to own). I remember being sooo close but it never seems to happen.
  18. I answered an ad for a '68 Buick Sportwagon and went to check it out. Well, the garage where it was was stuffed full of distractions, one being a v8 -powered S10 and the other a big block '71 or '72 CaminoSS. I got so lost in trying to make the numbers on that Camino work for the year that I let the wagon slip away. I could have had it for about $1,200 - 1,500. Ended up not buying anything.
  19. Here too, Camry drivers tend to be at or approaching retirement age. Scion is even worse (some youth brand,eh?) I don't remember ever seeing an Xb driven by anyone under 50.
  20. Tell about the GM brand/car that you almost bought. I have a few stories to share later.
  21. Cracks in the wall...
  22. Honestly, only the SRX would make my own list. I see the quality and appeal of the lambdas, so don't crucify me, I just don't care for the proportions stylistically. The rest are overpriced crud. I might give the X5 a pass, but not the others.
  23. The basic premise of that article is spot-on, some of the methods may not be very desireable however. We can get the job done, even now Americans are skilled at the power play. We just have to muster the will to get it done. But, just as in the space race, we need a real leader to make it happen. We seem to be fresh out of those at the moment.
