A quick question: Do all of the badges on cars piss you off?

Sure the Vette's been in trouble many times and been close to elimination more than once, but for some time now it has been quite profitable IIRC.

Replace the fuel filter, BV. Even if it isn't the problem, it needs to be done and I'm guessing that it might just do the trick.

You will be surprised at not only the number of parts involved, but also how small many of them are. If your car has a "Thermo quad" (early attempt to reduce emissions) throw it out and replace it with an Edelbrock. Those carbs took a good serviceable design and ruined it and they aren't worth rebuilding.

Neon - King of peeling paint (especially those purple ones) This thread makes me all the more amazed that my wagon is almost rust free after 30 years in New Jersey. That shouldn't happen, but I'm very glad it did.

I know this sounds simple, but when did it last get a fuel filter?

Never owned a spring compressor, always used a floor jack (with a long handle). Seriously though, be very careful, the force contained in a spring can be very violent when released. I may buy a spring compressor for next time.
