  1. would love to see the general kick this guys butt. he didn't care about the american worker. he only cared about manipulating the situation for a profit. he was euphoric with the thought of the nissan deal pushing his stock portfolio through the roof. what an old fool. wipe him out, general.

    GM Death Watch 94

remember all the crap that hit the fan when toyota introduced the tacoma? they were the laughing stock because they did not do market research. at the time tacoma, washington, the city they named the truck for was considered a hole. a pit. lots of dope, hookers and the like. toyota isn't anywhere near perfect.
  3. back when the H3 came out, had a friend within the organization that told me this was in the works. the general is moving a little slow on it though. on another note, i looked at the '07 H3 on the GM site and did not see mention of the 3.7 I5. any ideas?

    GM Death Watch 94

here, here. you'd think with all of buicks hand wringing (must have too much time on his hands) he'd find a roof to jump off of or a gun to put to his head. this guy wants GM to fail so bad. what, just so he can bask in the glory of an "i told you so". its like all of the goofballs that ran GM out of flint and then said, from the unemployment line, "guess we showed them".

    Drove a Charger R/T

tested the r/t a while back and rented one to take to chicago. didn't buy it. noisy and the interior started feeling cheesy. liked the magnum a little better. it seemed more quiet on the inside. for the money....if you didn't want to spend any more cash.....overall, the charger is a good deal.
  7. i can see why healthcare costs are starting to swallow up the general. i am watching ours go bananas. and that is the presidents fault because??? doesn't matter which party is in power. we don't look to government for our solutions. they usually screw it up. look at canada. their people want to come here for medical help. and if we get this great social health care plan, who is going to pay for it? do you want your taxes to go up? it has to come from somewhere.
  8. I believe the sean hannity deal will make a difference as well. Hannity Helps GM Hawk Cars Sep. 21, 2006 By Katy Bachman, Mediaweek SOURCE: Mediaweek To stimulate consumer interest in its line of American-built cars, General Motors has turned to radio and Sean Hannity. Beginning Sept. 25, Hannity will serve as the spokesperson for GM’s You’re A Great American Car Give-Away, offering radio listeners the chance to pick and win one of five GM vehicles. One of the largest car give-aways by an auto manufacturer, “it is the largest car give-away in history by a national radio personality,” said Phil Boyce, VP of news/talk programming for ABC Radio. GM’s multi-platform campaign combines Hannity’s syndicated radio show -- broadcast on more than 500 radio stations, including 50 in the top 50 markets -- with his Web site, where listeners will be directed to register their names. During his radio show, Hannity will announce one contestant’s name per hour. Listeners will have until 6 a.m. the next morning to send Hannity an email to confirm they’ve heard their name read on the air. The contest runs for five weeks through Nov. 6, when the final car is given away. The radio promotion comes during a tough period for all automakers, which have been struggling to boost lagging sales. To manage costs, many automakers, GM included, have cut national advertising, while concentrating on local campaigns to drive sales. GM ad spending was down 17.4 percent overall in the first half of this year, while spending on local spot TV grew 11.3 percent, according to TNS Media Intelligence.
  9. tiger, successful golfer.....buick, success in the golf demographic.....the folks that buy the 3 hole lucerne. how do you sell more 4 holers? maybe they should put the better V6 in this thing and forget the northstar.
  10. IMO, ford needs to make peace with the AFA. every little bit helps.
  11. how's this? Note....i took two photos on the road of a police charger. they won't load up. any ideas?
  12. and my aunt is talking about a toyota hybrid. i suggested she look at the saturn vue hybrid. useful, priced right and great mileage. she says i am not sure i want an SUV. i said well good because the same system will be in the mid sized chevy malibu.
  13. i own a few businesses in lexington. i wish i'd seen the sign when i was there in july and early august.
  14. Good, in fact, great. Keep it going, General!
  15. my wife and i are avid monk fans. we had a good chuckle out of it. especially when the real estate agent was showcasing it. wonder if she will be the long term love interest of stottlemeyer? and if so, is the lucerne going to be seen every week. what did buick pay for that? or was it a freebie for buying the ads in the show.
  16. heck, i've always had a few blue cars hanging around. the bonne was blue and the h3 that replaced it is blue. wife's jeep is blue. should have had the sts done in blue chip.
  17. saw this a while back. the selling price is what interested me.
  18. net income is generally what is left after expenses. operating income is usually the cash available to run the business before taxes, etc.
  19. the charger really does appeal to a different type of buyer. I'd would pick the charger over the lucerne.
  20. kerkorian, george soros, they all hate us and the american way. they just want enough and more than enough to further their own agendas. the need the dough to force their opinions and ideals on us.
  21. drove a few level one models, loaners and rentals. very impressed. would buy one but i like my sts too much.
  22. wow! BM, i agree with you on this. except H Ross is too friggin old.
  23. so what. gm has more global penetration and less employees. eventially, that will trickle down to market cap. market cap doesn't help you post profits on car sales. its stock trading mumbo jumbo.
  24. just keep these french fools away from the general. for petes sake, the recovery is happening, kirk, keep your pants on. sure, you got pimped over at daimler and you have a chip on your shoulder for any american car company. but we all know that this is just about getting your stock price to jump. renault and nissan, combined have less global market share and more employees. thats all i need to know. oh, and one more thing, their recovery is starting to wane a bit, hence the reason why they want to latch on to GM. they need to suck the blood out of this so they can survive a little longer. kind of like when daimler sucked the 8 billion dollars of retained earnings out of chrysler. GM should be buying renault/nissan. they are the stronger of the bunch.
  25. 20 steps just to "set the tone"? are you serious. again, you can sell. if i had a dime for every good salesman that has told me that he can do a better job at running this or that and why "they" don't know what they're doing, etc. every organization has them. kind of like garbage cans and butt holes.
