  1. I have a few that I enjoy watching frequently.. for wrenching on money pits: The Kansas guys---they often appear in each other's videos: Hoovie's Garage (maybe my favorite for Tyler Hoover's goofy persona and banter w/ the Car Wizard) Car Wizard Watch JR Go Velocity Garage The Florida guys: Tavarish (good personality, and so optimistic about his wrecked exotics) Wrench Every Day (spin off of Tavarish's channel w/ Jared Pink wrenching) Samcrac (never finishes anything, but always adding high mileage, worn luxury and sports cars from Copart auctions) VTuned Garage (a kid that seems good at fabrication) vehcor is an interesting outliner..very dry presentation, guy doing extensive repairs on ordinary late model vehicles like a body swap on a wrecked Silverado..weirdly compelling. For car reviews, I like The Smoking Tire, Savage Geese and Seen Through Glass.. Others I enjoy are Drive Tribe (related to the Grand Tour) and Vinwiki Car Stories (lots of interesting stories).
  2. '78-79. Looks like the roof is squashed. Lots of patina..you going to get it running again?
  3. Those are just fanboy illustrations, nothing real...that Corolla nose in the second pic is from 15 years ago...just delusions from dreamers on the internet.
  4. That's fake, though...looks like the actual Corolla Cross will be a CH-R sized CUV with normalized styling.
  5. Went through Tillamook once..didn't get any cheese. But did stop for gas..and discovered Oregon didn't have self serve. Was very strange having someone else fill my rental car.
  6. Scottsdale. (I commuted on Camelback Road for 3 years from Central Phoenix to downtown Scottsdale)
  7. My favorite flavor from Heinen's is the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup...have a tub of that and the Sea Salt Caramel Toffee in the freezer now.
  8. No one seemed to have posted the 2nd quarter sales number results in the Sales Ticker forum like they used to, but from what I’ve seen elsewhere the numbers were down, more for some makers than others.
  9. There is no US version on sale now, so it's a moot point. There is an E-Golf in the low 30s, but I think it's range is poor compared to the Bolt and Leaf.
  10. The European version of the Bolt---the Opel Ampera-e---starts at about 42k euros, so same ballpark. https://www.opel.de/fahrzeuge/ampera-e/uebersicht.html
  11. Sounds like the Cupra el-Born will start at around 45k euros. https://ev-database.org/car/1178/CUPRA-el-born
  12. Had a very wet April/May/early June here, but been very warm and dry the last two weeks.
  13. Looking stormy here..I've been moving hoses w/ sprinklers around the front and back yard and trying to keep it from completely going tan...been a hot, dry stretch lately.
  14. Hurst
  15. Chevy really needs a good crossover coupe--I think they need to be bold and do a Corvette crossover coupe....a rugged mid-engined 2 seat SUV--that would be bold. Something that would make the Lambo Urus look weak.
  16. 'twas but a typoe.. Hadn't heard of Turkey Hill, have had Blue Bunny somewhere before. My favorite home ice cream around here is from one of my local grocery chains, Heinen's.. Their ice cream is delicious.
  17. Sounds like we may get the Corolla Cross. https://www.autoblog.com/2020/07/09/toyota-corolla-cross/
  18. I suspect it will be eliminated soon also. Or replaced with another CUV.
  19. Spark is made in S Korea. So without the Sonic, they will be down to 5 cars in the US (Spark, Malibu, Camaro, Corvette, Blot) 5 CUVs, 2 SUVs, and 2-3 truck families...
  20. Instead, GM NA gave us the Celebrity Eurosport...which was neither Euro nor Sport.
  21. Small block Chevy. That should be a very familiar abbreviation around here...
  22. The Buick V6 is on Ward's 10 Best Engines of the 20th Century list, along w/ the SBC.
  23. The funny thing is I get calls occasionally about selling my former Phoenix house..which was sold in 2017. (and the price of it has more doubled since it was sold in 2017 and remodeled).
  24. Ya, I definitely wouldn't be thinking about if a vehicle has manual or power windows in traffic..manual windows seem like an obsolete 20th century artifact like carburetors or bias-ply tires; something I'd never think about.
  25. Kaiser bought the license to build it in '65, Jeep used it in the CJ-5 and 6 from '66-71, the 'Dauntless' V6. The Wagoneer was offered w/ a Buick 350 V8 briefly around the same time also.
