    Probably...looks like a low trim level based on the limited amount of chrome on the sides. The LeSabre was also available w/ the 455.

    Looks like a 1970 LeSabre. Back then, 3 ventiports were on the B-body, and 4 ventiports were on the C-body (Electra). The middle model (Wildcat) usually didn't have them..

    Yep, I see them, the brown UPS vans and white Fed Ex vans pretty often. A couple years ago I happened to step out one morning to see an Amazon van, Fed Ex van, and UPS van parked in a row in front of my house, and a USPS truck across the street...like they had synchronized their deliveries....

    Maybe headroom for tall people that are long of torso? I've sat in the CT4 and CT5 and found them comfortable...

    Back on topic, I got a delivery from one of my favorite local places tonight, Door Dash delivery driver was driving a sharp dark red '19-20 CT6..

    Going up and down stairs with flip flops is hard enough, I wouldn't want to drive in them...and most of them aren't good orthopedically.

    I have a poor sense of smell, can't tell if my feet smell or not (though I shower everyday and the dogs lick my feet).. heh heh. I do have some of those shorty socks, though...wear those sometimes w/ low cut shoes.

    Re: socks and sandals. I’ve avoided that, not a fan of the look. I tend to wear sandals/flippy floppies without socks around the house and yard all summer, but I don’t like driving in them. I usually wear deck shoes (Rockports) without socks when I go out in the summer.

    There hasn't been a 5.7 V8 in a Corvette since the C5, over 15 years ago. With the C6, they first had a 6.0 V8, with a 6.2 and 7.0 in some variations..

    Took a drive yesterday afternoon...had to get out of the house. Went on about a 20 mile loop down through the nearby national park, saw a really clean medium green w/ white roof '60 Thunderbird, the dark blue '69/70 Grand Prix I've seen a few times, and a white '20 C8 Corvette. Was beautiful but hot and humid out.

    The market is flooded with supercars and hypercars..about the only one I find slightly interesting is Gordon Murray's new one, it's a rather restrained design w/ a minimalist interior w/ center seat and manual transmission, ala his McLaren F-1 25 years ago..but it's another 100-unit, $3 mil garage queen/future museum piece.

    They sold the 405 sedan in the US through 1991. Though I don't recall seeing many...I think I saw a few in the early-mid 90s in the Boston area, and then in the late 90s in Denver. And Buick is at a dead end in NA now, just peddling generic CUVs that have nothing special over the generic CUVs sold by Chevy and GMC..

    Wouldn't Quebecois car shoppers like to have some French choices instead of the usual US and Asian appliances? Sounds like Peugeot left Canada the same year they left the US, 1991.

    I think the only way they can have any hope is to play up the French ness and embrace the weird, with some Citroen and DS models. The NA market is already crowded with forgettable CUV appliances from NA and Asian brands.

    C and D segment sedans would be a differentiator since the domestic big 3 have abandoned those niches. The market is flooded with generic CUVs, I don't see how they would stand out with such models.

    ^ Since they aren't in production, 'beating Tesla' means nothing at this point. Interesting design, though.

    Well, there are existing GM appliance owners (Chevy/GMC/Buick) that GM hopes will aspire to Cadillac and move up. That would be the majority of sales vs conquest sales?

    I'd assume parts of the bodies were same, probably the same cowl, roof and inner panels, same glass. And that 410 was of the MEL engine family, as was Mercury's 383, the 430 and later 462 used in Lincolns..

    Edsel used Ford (lower series) and Mercury bodies (upper series) in '58, and Ford-based bodies for '59 and '60. As far as engines, they were FoMoCo V8s of the era. IIRC, the 'E' in the Ford FE series engine stood for 'Edsel'.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edsel

    The '59 Edsel rear kind of reminds me of the '60 Chevy rear end, but more blobular.
