  1. Well, there are existing GM appliance owners (Chevy/GMC/Buick) that GM hopes will aspire to Cadillac and move up. That would be the majority of sales vs conquest sales?
  2. I'd assume parts of the bodies were same, probably the same cowl, roof and inner panels, same glass. And that 410 was of the MEL engine family, as was Mercury's 383, the 430 and later 462 used in Lincolns..
  3. Edsel used Ford (lower series) and Mercury bodies (upper series) in '58, and Ford-based bodies for '59 and '60. As far as engines, they were FoMoCo V8s of the era. IIRC, the 'E' in the Ford FE series engine stood for 'Edsel'.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edsel
  4. The '59 Edsel rear kind of reminds me of the '60 Chevy rear end, but more blobular.
  5. Bibibop (a chain of restaurants)
  6. For truly random, I just had a dozen warm Krispy Kreme donuts delivered. Had a craving for night donuts. Yummm
  7. Reality is complex--ordered and yet random simultaneously.
  8. So on today's Daily Tech Headlines podcast the host pronounced the brand name 'Iconiq' instead of 'Ioniq'. Not 'Ironiq' though.
  9. They claim to be 'The Most Exciting Village in Northeast Ohio' but I'm not sure of that claim... http://eastspartavillage.com
  10. I've been to East Sparta.
  11. 'clubbing' makes me think of nightclubbing---going to dark, noisy places to drink, dance and listen to unce unce unce/EDM music. Been a while since I've gone clubbing..
  12. Cadillac’s EV model names would fit well in Ioniq..
  13. Monday
  14. So you going to keep it stock, or lift it on 35s for the brodozer look or slam it on 26s?
  15. I suspect the full size Ram-based 3 row models (Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer) will be in Tahoe/Suburban price range or higher, so definitely starting above $50k. The 3 row Grand Cherokee-based midsize will probably be priced and trimmed like the GC with a broad range of trims at a range of price points.
  16. Maybe not in the US, but in Europe and Asia they have been huge...in many European countries they have been 50-75% of the market...
  17. Sweet truck..like the color. I haven't seen a 2nd gen Avalanche in ages in any condition.
  18. I saw a strange forest service truck here in the Cleveland suburbs a while back..it was that funky green w forest service decals on the doors...but it was a pre-97 Jeep XJ Cherokee...in very clean shape. Sort of a WTF moment, though..in what time warp is the forest service driving 25-30 yr old vehicles?
  19. Front fascias are the same, grilles differ. Headlights are the same...and the E-class is the only MB line w/ 4 bodystyles..sedan, coupe, convertible and wagon.
  20. True...but it is a 2 row..I think he wanted something larger.
  21. hmmmm. GMC doesn't have a model that starts w/ G with a trim level starting with G, so that seems to rule that out... Or 3 row GMC..an Acadia or Yukon?
  22. Hmmm...the Durango is in it's 3rd generation.
  23. I'm still going w/ the largish 3 row NA-V8 SUVs...Durango or previous gen GLS... smaller than the BOF full size SUVs and more manageable.
  24. I was thinking a full-size truck or SUV would have trouble fitting in your driveway (thought it was steep/narrow and required a turn at the bottom to get in the garage), but then I remember you had an Avalanche previously.
  25. 4+4+8=16 now 4+8+8=20 25% more so a V8 replacing a 4, keeping the Encore and Toronado. my guess is the GLS or Durango.
