  1. Needed to watch something funny, started streaming the hilarious Canadian comedy 'Schitt'$ Creek'...I've long liked Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara in the Christopher Guest films (Best of Show, Mighty Wind, etc) and they are great in this comedy, along w/ Levy's son Dan.
  2. Saw pics of the GW....looks fancy, Escalade sized, needs woodgrain side trim.. https://www.autoweek.com/news/future-cars/a33901878/look-inside-the-new-jeep-grand-wagoneer-concept-vehicle/?source=nl&utm_source=nl_aut&utm_medium=email&date=090320&utm_campaign=nl21400259&utm_term=AAA -- High Minus Dormant and 90 Day Non Openers
  3. I had a friend in college from Macedonia the country and one from Macedonia, Ohio.. Macedonia, Ohio is nearby, I like the area...
  4. Heh-heh...Henry Hill and the '68 GP. I wonder what the ride of choice for East Coast gangsters is today....seems the Ukranian gangsters around here favor 10-yr old S-class Mercs.
  5. Exhaust coming out the door..that's...different. Someone went crazy at Pep Boys.
  6. Saw this colorized pic on the FB...looks like a '39ish Ford COE with a custom cab..thought @balthazar would get a kick out of it. Neat looking truck.
  7. This would be product aiming at a different buyer than the Durango...more at the buyers of soft roader chud that sells well--think of all the gray plastic interior Equinoxes, Blazers, Escapes, Santa Fes, Nissans, Terrains, Acadias, etc that sell... I'm not a fan, but subcompact and compact CUVs are a huge market right now. There is room to sell more and not badge them as Jeeps or Dodges.
  8. They have a bunch of small to midsize crossovers that could probably sell here, though....similar to the generic stuff that GM, Ford, Hyundai, Nissan, etc churn out en masse and Americans seem to have infinite appetite for. But under what brand? There was talk of bringing the Peugeot brand here. It's been almost 30 years since it was sold here. Launching a brand would be more $$$ and work than badge engineering.... Since Dodge is down to 3 vehicles that draw on V8 performance as part of their brand image, I don't see any of them fitting in at Dodge. Chrysler is pretty thin now, could use a couple more CUVs..and if they are purely soft roaders that would distinguish them from Jeep's rugged image.
  9. Yes, Italian-Americans working in a business of a likely illegal nature..
  10. Yeah, like running afoul of goombas out of the Sopranos and they vandalize your car...

  12. Barf....they already have that niche covered w/ the small Jeeps...does the US market need more generics? The V8 RWD product is what makes Dodge stand out in a market full of fecal fwd/awd transverse engine despair gray interior generic appliances...Dodge doesn't need such chud...anyway, from the article, it sounds like the PSA stuff will be for the European market. Maybe the next gen Renegade and Compass will be on a PSA platform? Anyway, I do hope Stellantis finds a future for the Charger and Challenger and keeps them real...I'd hate to see those names and style wasted on appliances..
  13. Those look like some older neighborhoods in Cleveland..
  14. In Europe, that is. Their products wouldn't fit at Dodge...small FWD hatchbacks wouldn't work in the US. Maybe some of the CUVs at Chrysler. Dodge is all about RWD V8..
  15. My previous next-door neighbors had bought a wrecked red FR-S/86 for their teenage son a couple years ago...was missing most of the front end..they rebuilt it in their driveway and at one point had it in the backyard up on ramps, I think they took the engine out w/ a block and tackle attached to a tree branch...Ukrainian shade tree mechanics. It was zooming around the neighborhood the last year going BrrraWWWWWppppp...

  18. I like the one at 2:30 also...Port of LA, Terminal Island, where the Terminal Island Raceway drag strip used to be located... Some sweet '72 Impalas...
  19. I've been happy w/ the Michelin Defenders on my Jeep...I've put close to 20k miles on them over the last 3 years. The original Goodyear Forteras were pretty worn down at 30k miles. (assuming they were the original tires on it when I bought it with 25k miles in April '17).
  20. I'd be happy w/ the regular R/T in Octane Red for around $40k. Only options I'd add would be the tan/black nappa/alacantra seats, Uconnect w/ NAV, sunroof, and the Harmon/Kardon audio.
  21. I went to a local auto repair/tire store chain in 2017 when I bought a set of Michelin Defenders for my Jeep. Having such a place in walking distance from home is a plus..
  22. I do wonder what Stellantis/PSAFCA has in mind for their US CUV strategy. Jeep is the established volume and off road CUV/SUV brand and continues to expand, Dodge is in there w/ the Durango, Alfa and Maserati dabble in performance/luxury SUVs, so where do PSA brands come into play? Some more car-like softroader CUVs? With a brand that is largely unknown in the US (Peugeot or Citroen) ?
  23. Agreed....when I'm considering a new car, I try to spend time studying the interior and esp. the ergonomics and sightlines...really the interior is more important to me than exterior styling, since the interior is where you are...for years. Part of why I so strongly dislike gray or all black interiors, I want some color and light inside. Things like seat adjustability and feel of the steering wheel, location of the primary controls, etc..all of that is important to me..
  24. Finished the latest seasons of ‘Yellowstone’ and ‘Endeavour’ (the Inspector Morse prequel. Currently streaming the 1st season of ‘Balthazar’, which is not set in New Jersey. It’s a French crime drama set in Paris, and the titular coroner drives a sweet blue vintage Alpine A110...
