  1. I remember watching WGN on cable when I was living in Florida in the '80s..it neat to be able to watch Chicago local news 1000+ miles away...
  2. The Solstice with the disguise makes me think someone wanted to be Chris Bangle!
  3. Yeah...I always forget the ES...it's the odd car out...I think of their sedan lineup strictly with the serious models--- IS, GS, LS. Though the ES is their biggest seller, I believe..
  4. I don't recall ever watching anything on WB or UPN..too much crapola, IMHO. Fox is about the only non-cable network I've frequently watched a few shows regularly on over the last decade (Simpsons, X-Files, 24, Family Guy, Futurama)...
  5. Why would you need a plate for a burrito? I like the wood and aluminum decor... the 'yuppie scum' comment was uncalled for..that's me & my peeps (the khakis and dress shirt office crowd)
  6. Hmmm...strange. Speaking of chops, I do wonder how a reverse stretch limo would look...i.e. take a Town Car and shorten it into a 2dr, 2 seater coupe.
  7. I'm guessing Pontiac was trying to clean up their act after years of criticism over the cladding...and the Alero was on it's way out then.
  8. I hate Bush and his corrupt regime and all it stands for. Evil, lying people. Then there are the sheep that voted for him and believe in him...
  9. Bush's history of oil industry connections and Cheney's past with Halliburton are proof enough....they are corrupt, vile, evil men...
  10. You can bet that if it were big oil companies or defence contractors in trouble, he would be bailing them out...those f*ckers bankrolled his campaigns.
  11. I keep telling one of my coworkers that his Civic is uncool (it's an '03 4dr w/ automatic, silver w/ gray interior). I tell him he needs to put Type R badges, a big muffler, fast and the furious style graphics, a big tach, Sparco seats, etc. He's a 25 yr old GUI developer and gaming fanatic, and the Civic is just an appliance to him.
  12. Yeah, poor thing... the '69-70 Mustang convertibles are probably my favorite of the early convertibles and the '69 Sportsroofs are my favorite Mustang overall...
  13. I'm sure if GM and Ford had contributed more to his campaign in '04 he'd say more for them...
  14. Another cool thing about the 510s is they could outhandle most anything Detroit built then (most muscle cars were straight-line cars only). RWD, IRS....good stuff.
  15. Yeah, we have plenty of them here, I'm sure...probably come up I-25 from El Paso. We also have a lot of dealers from Mexico buying cheap used cars here at auctions and driving/towing them back to Mexico...I see alot of Mexican-plated trucks towing '80s clunkers down I-25 at night on the weekends.
  16. Denver's a bit far from the border... but you never know..
  17. Here's a link to pics of the Camaro..it got hit hard in the rear also.. 67 Camaro wrck
  18. I noticed that..the white '67 SS... I wonder what's up with it...and what is the car between them (hit in the front w/ a bent, rusted hood).
  19. Poor thing...lucky the gas tank wasn't crushed and sploded.
  20. It was a bumper w/ bull bar similar to this on this Jeep (the bumper looked taller)..with lights mounted on the bumper behind the bar.. My guess is it was probably a wreck that someone decided to customize..very strange..I'll have to keep an eye out for it.
  21. Don't forget the fart can tailpipe...an extra 25 hp there...and some yellow paint somewhere---a single yellow wiper or yellow stripes... 'cause yellow means FAST..
  22. I've only seen a few...I recall a dark blue one, a silver one, and a bright yellow one (ugh).
  23. Coming home tonight I saw a very strange CTS at a light...white, but the hood and front fenders were flat black, the stock fascia, grille and headlights gone---replaced with a large black flat, thick steel bumper and a bull bar (looked like something from an off-roader). Round headlights and fog lights bolted to the top of the bumper. Black steel wheels. Looked very mean and serious.. I should have done a u-ee and followed it.. it was dark, but it was at a well-lit intersection..... (and I only had one glass of wine with dinner, so I'm not going nutters). Maybe something specially built for the Dept. of Homeland Security (Urban Assault Vehicle).
  24. I like this car quite a bit, though the GS is more to my taste. I can definitely see myself in something like this as a daily driver when I'm 40 (only 5 years from now!) and moved over to the dark side (management).. Though if I were choosing a car purely for style, I'd probably go with an Audi, and if I were choosing purely for driving experience, I'd go with another BMW).
  25. The 4 Runner interior is not bad.. The SUV interior I'm really dissapointed in is the 3rd generation Grand Cherokee...the dash looks much cheaper than my '00 GC... my '00 has a nice, squishy soft dash covering (which I wish they had used it on the upper door panels and center console also, though--hard plastic there) and a very logical, clean layout of the controls..the '05-06 is a step backwards, IMHO (I think Chrysler has been cheapening their interiors overall in the last few years). I don't really like the exterior either--the side windows are smaller and it is squarer...I really don't think I'll replace my '00 with a new one. Personally, Toyota interiors don't really excite me..they are ok for the functional transportation modules that they are. Now I do like some of the Lexus interiors, though, esp. in tan (I really don't like gray interiors in anything).
