  1. The last Caprice was 116 wb and 77 inches wide..it was a whale... I think 116 wb, 74 inches wide, and 200 inches long would be more than large enough for a RWD Caprice revival...
  2. I like the 777 also...it felt more spacious and seemed quieter than a 747... I've flown in both across the pond (British Airways) in coach... I did business class once on a BA 777..that was probably the most comfortable I've been on a big plane before..
  3. And it's a Sunday afternoon... (happened to me on the 880).
  4. Drool here also... the A8 in its current form has been my favorite big luxo sedan since its intro, and the S8 just builds upon that...beautiful inside, beautiful outside... clean, subtle, elegant and not overdone.
  5. One of the recent UK mags (Top Gear or Car, I think) has a pic of the rear...the taillights are more horizontal than the sedan. I'm looking forward to seeing it in person, I've long liked the current E46 coupe.
  6. I'm really looking forward to next Sunday's game.... I've been a big Broncos fan for the last 8 years, but grew up a Steelers fan...
  7. I've sat in A6s with wood trim and two tone (tan seats, black dash)...much nicer than the black one in that photo, IMHO...the A8 has the best Audi interior currently, IMHO, but it should be, being the top-of-the-line model..
  8. Yes, not every car needs the trunk lid cut open to the bumper... It needs a taller roof, though..the windshield opening is too low.
  9. Avis has them in some locations..I rented one last month.
  10. They have some defense stuff (satellites, etc) going on in Colorado Springs also...I have a friend that works for Boeing down there...
  11. I think the Lucerne is one of those cars that looks much better in some colors than others... I've seen a dark blue one and a black one and think they look great...but in Avis white it probably wouldn't look so good..(then again, there are very, very few cars I think look good in white besides '65-66 Shelby Mustangs and '70 Challengers.. :))
  12. The Chevy dealer by my office has one...I saw it today on the way back from lunch..dark blue....I'll have to stop by after work and take a look..it looked great from the street...
  13. Well, it definitely looks better than the old Grand Ams...but one thing looks odd to me about it is the long wheelbase...the placement of the wheels make the proportions look odd in profile, IMHO...and the taillight shape is funny.

  15. The second gen style is played out..the 3rd and 4th evolved from it... the '69 is the still the best looking Camaro of all time, IMHO...
  16. Maybe, but the market doesn't view it that way..the continued use of the 3.9 is viewed as GM being stuck in the past...
  17. What does the external dimensions of the engines have to do with anything?????? Seems like a lame argument.
  18. I was watching the PBS evening news show Monday night and there was no mention of the Camaro concept or Challenger in their autoshow coverage--they spent quite a bit of time talking about the Geely...also Malcom Bricklin and his 'Visonary Vehicles' nonsense, Chery, and also Hyundai and Kia...
  19. I like the old tube-shaped Electrolux vacuum cleaners... very cool style. Industrial design, architecture, etc are all interesting to me..anything that is designed and goes beyond purely functional to being stylish is interesting... Imagine if GM still had Frigidare appliances or branched out into home electronics--a Frigidare plasma TV would be neat.
  20. Shouldn't he just shut up and retire to a nursing home (he's like 90 or something, isn't he?)
  21. Poor car...that's a stupid thing to do...I don't see the point of burnouts, they only impede forward motion.
  22. It's sad that they need 3.9L to get 240 hp when Honda gets that out of 3.0L....
  23. The problem with the BLS is it's not a RWD platform... for a serious C-class, 3-series, etc competitor, Cadillac needs a compact RWD model, IMHO....
  24. I didn't say anything about overall lengths... Shorter, narrower & lighter works best for a compact sports sedan..that is one of the reasons the BMW 3-series is so good at what it does. A smaller car is more nimble on narrow, windy, twisty backroads (where cars in the sports sedan category really excel, not on the interstate)... Not that there is anything wrong with the big Caddys--I think they need a model bigger than the STS to compete with the 7-series, S-class, etc. There is room for a compact Caddy sports sedan & coupe as well as the luxo boats...
  25. Cadillac needs a 4-seat coupe/convertible to compete with the 3-series and CLK. A compact sport sedan to compete with the 3-series, C-class, IS, etc is needed also (the CTS is too big).
