  1. I''d like to see a coupe w/ the El Miraj styling..a big 2dr hardtop. Was such a beautiful concept.
  2. I'd love to see a CT6 coupe, a Buick sedan and an Impala/Caprice off this platform, but in today's CUV-obsessed market I know all are quite unlikely...
  3. Interesting..I just heard about that engine in a podcast, someone had installed one in a older Civic IIRC.
  4. I've had experience w/ 3 straight 6s--Jeep's 4 liter (not smooth but mostly reliable), BMW's 3.2 and Mercedes 3.0, both of which were pretty smooth. I like straight 6s. One thing I like about straight 6s is they are usually used in RWD/AWD applications where the long hood fits the RWD styling proportions. They are usually too long to fit in transverse engine applications, where a V6 works better. V4? The only one I can think of was from Ford in Europe in the 60s-70s that was used in some SAABs. Can't think of any in at least 40 years.
  5. It seems to me the Power Wagon is country music and mud pluggin' in the rural South or Midwest, the Rivian is more urban sophistication, avocado toast on the West Coast and going to the beach and mountains there.... Anyway, a Hellcat version of Power Wagon called Mega Power Wagon would be cool...
  6. Looks good..will be interesting to see how it compares to the new Explorer and the existing competition.
  7. I think it's just you...looks fresh and modern and not Buick at all to me.
  8. Hard to tell, but looking at the pics it looks like the cab and bed are carried over from the previous generation, not using the cab and bed from the '19 1500...good looking truck, the new front is a big improvement over the pig nostril grille the Heavy Duty has used recently.
  9. No, they are using the new platform the new BMW Z4 is on. That was a pic of one from 15 years ago...2 generations back.
  10. Looks good..like the dash and clean exterior. And a proper decklid, not overly fastbackish.
  11. For the LGX 3.6 these are the specs in the Blazer (same platform): 2019 Chevrolet Blazer 305 hp (227 kW) @ 6600 RPM 269 lb⋅ft (365 N⋅m) @ 5000 RPM Which seems plenty enough for this category. it's more than the old 3800 and 3900 had (some of you are using rose colored glasses).
  12. Slick... I like the 'race car for the street' looks. Though for a current Mustang, the one I would want is the Bullitt..love the dark green and subtle looks.
  13. The rear 3/4 would look better without the black trim on the rear edges of the d-pillars...I guess it's there to try and make the rear window look wider, but it seems pointless. Extending the taillights up the pillars ala Escalade would have been more interesting.
  14. Surprised they aren’t offering the 2.0 also.
  15. I doubt most people that lease such CUV appliances are even aware of what is under the hood or which wheels drive it. They aren’t car enthusiasts. So GM’s LCD approach should suffice in this niche.
  16. Well, they have the short wheelbase, used by the Blazer, Acadia and XT5. They have the long wheelbase, used by the Traverse and Enclave. Don’t know why they went with the short wheelbase for this, unless they want to do a long wheelbase XT7 in the future. Yah, the XTS is their grandpa car. This is for upscale suburban moms.
  17. I'd probably look at the Compass, Equinox, CX-3, CR-V, and Escape. Escape is the only one I've driven, but they all seem pretty reasonable for the price. And the CR-V has cool taillights, IMO. The CX-3 would probably be the most fun to drive, but probably the smallest inside of this group.
  18. Was playing around with Google street view around parts of Cleveland and found this '63 Pontiac in a grown up driveway w/ potted plants on the hood..looks like Google mapped that street in July '14, wonder if it is still there.. https://www.google.com/maps/@41.5493777,-81.5580103,3a,37.5y,26.86h,80.94t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sYlSYfCekI1crAGD3Y-NLFQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 A bit further down the same street sat this '68-69 Buick Skylark. https://www.google.com/maps/@41.5501126,-81.5589316,3a,75y,12.53h,75.46t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sC5d1tqVRYvJ2RpvSyccBpQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656
  19. Got a few inches of new snow last night. Sunny out today, i went out to shovel the driveway and clear off my sister's Trax--the way the snow blew, only the left side and roof had snow, right side was completely clear. Jeep is in the garage, coated in salt and slush from running around downtown yesterday afternoon...need to run it through the carwash this week.
