Weird to you maybe, but aren't ICE vehicles also weird to the Amish?

A full EV version of the Volt would be nice to see. I don't care for the monospace styling of the Bolt, but a full EV Volt would be a neat little car.. maybe GM will eventually get past the 'EVs have to be weird to sell' phase and start mainstreaming them.

Sort of like how in Europe they have supermini cars between subcompact and compact. It sounds like Ford's plan to add many new CUVs and SUVs.
-
Given Ford's new focus on CUVs, it wouldn't surprise me that they would go with something mainstream in addition to the Baby Bronco..
-
Maybe they are adding a model between the Ecosport and Escape.
-
So this is presumably 'not' the baby Bronco? Is it the next Escape or a new Focus-based CUV entry? I know they were going to do the Focus Active wagon from China but that got scuttled..this is something else.

I'm not particularly happy w/ where Apple is going currently. Still like my older Mac Book Pro (bought new in 2017 but it's the previous generation), my iPad, and my iPhone 7 (got it last year to replace my 6S). The only advantage I'd see going to Samsung phones are longer battery life and better camera. Oh yeah..best I've felt about the Browns since Kosar was there.
-
With the Broncos, Browns and Steelers not in the playoffs, no one for me to root for...though I'm interested in seeing how far the Eagles go. As long as we don't get another Patriots Super Bowl. Rams vs Chargers would be an interesting matchup.

Fourth-Quarter 2018: General Motors
Robert Hall replied to William Maley's topic in Sales Figure Ticker
Buick and GMC with regard to CUVs seem to be like Buick and Olds in the 80s-90s with sedans. Two slightly different flavors of essentially the same product....two middle filler brands between Chevy and Cadillac. -
December 2018: Ford Motor Company

Something like the Escalade should be very quiet...a luxury vehicle should be very quiet and refined, not loud...a quiet interior without harsh road noise and a powerful sound system. -
And over 150k Caravans...it's getting pretty old also.

I drove from Reno to Denver once in a rental Impala..the stretch from Reno to Salt Lake City is pretty ugly... just a lot of barren nothingness. Gigafactory 1 is near Clark, NV about 17 miles east of Reno in the void. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigafactory_1
-
Tesla’s Gigafactory is near Reno, could be land speculation related to that. Or people working there or moving there from the more expensive SF Bay Area...
-
I haven’t seen the new bridge yet, been 4 years since I’ve been to SF. I’ve driven over the old Bay bridge and Golden Gate a few times. I love bridges.
-
No idea what the long term w/ Lordstown is, other than it's been 'deallocated'. The modern bridge is the Veteran's Memorial Bridge, connecting Steubenville and Wierton, WV. It opened in 1990, replacing the 1928 era Ft Steuben Bridge that was demolished in 2012. Veteran's Memorial Bridge: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veterans_Memorial_Bridge_(Steubenville,_Ohio) Ft Steuben Bridge: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Steuben_Bridge While I was there,I also went over the Market Street Bridge which is 2 lanes with a neat steel deck you can see through.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Market_Street_Bridge_(Ohio_River)

2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti Sport Q4 Review | 280 HP Turbo AWD Sedan
Robert Hall replied to William Maley's topic in Reviews
They are being consistent with the long-established Italian luxury or sporty image, though...looks great, drives great, but poor reliability and quality.- 14 replies

Quick Drive: 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Limited
Robert Hall replied to William Maley's topic in Reviews
I'd think they would do a Journey replacement on this platform...and maybe a Chrysler-branded CUV also.- 15 replies

My first thought of what is under the tarp is a mid engined car with a high rear..the cab looks way forward. Or a convertible w/top down? Saw a really clean 82-85 Supra in black today. Haven’t seen one in forever, always liked the angular styling.

Rainy day, mostly gray skies but some sunshine this afternoon...pretty mild for the end of December. Took a drive over to Steubenville, Ohio where I lived as a kid in the '70s. In Steubenville spotted the distinctive shape of a boattail Riviera under a car cover in a backyard. Right down the street from that was a solid looking brown w/ tan top '74 Le Sabre 4dr ht parked on the street. Also cruised past my childhood home (in good condition, was on the market a couple years ago) and the house next door where an older Italian couple had lived in the '70s (had a black '73 Cadillac Sedan de Ville and gold '71 Olds 98 back then), now had a new gray Honda Civic Type R in the driveway..nice neighborhood of brick and stone houses. Saw two '19 Chevy Silverados driving around, one dark red and one dark blue. Saw a red 6th gen Camaro SS on a rollback, looked like it had it had a hard front end collision. Saw a very rusty '53-54 Chevy 2dr sedan in a yard along Ohio Rt 7 while passing through a rural area.

Drove down to Steubenville, Ohio today w/ my sister..visited some of our favorite restaurants from childhood there in the 70s (she went to high school and college there, I did kindergarten and elementary school there). Pizza from a small take-out joint and a 'meatball heel' sandwich from a hole-in-the wall Italian restaurant...as tasty as I remember it from 1977. On the way over there and back drove past the GM Lordstown plant twice..it's right beside I-80. Huge place. Did see a couple of the new Silverados out and about, one in dark red and one in dark blue, both 4drs. Driving along Ohio Rt 7 along the Ohio river drove through this tunnel that goes through a huge power plant in Stratton, Ohio. A couple pics of the bridges over the Ohio River at Steubenville..

I don't think I've ever seen the Jaguar XE...pretty obscure. Of the current compact luxury sedans, I do like the styling of the Alfa---I like the traditional vertical Alfa shield grille shape and the offside license plate. I like the looks of the Infiniti also. If were leasing one of these as a daily driver, I'm not sure which one I'd go for..have to test drive a few, they all have their competencies. The German 3 seem the most popular around here, especially Audis. I see lots of Audis.

Jeep News: Jeep Finds Itself With A Lot of Wranglers
Robert Hall replied to William Maley's topic in Jeep
I went to the build and price and maxed out an Unlimited 4x4 Moab w/ all the options..$57780.00. Wowza. I'd rather have a Grand Cherokee Summit w/ the V8 for a similar price.- 10 replies
