  1. I assume the RWD proportions are part of that issue. The XTS is FWD with a 3 inch shorter wheelbase than the CTS, but has more legroom due to the proportions? In a FWD sedan, it seems the interior gets a bigger % of the wheelbase than with RWD. How does the CTS rear seat space compare to it's competitors like the 5-series, E-class, etc? I've noticed that difference in older Cadillacs--the DTS had a wheelbase within an inch of the RWD STS, but felt roomier in the backseat, IMO.
  2. Yeah, after finishing the move in June 2017, the garage was full of boxes. Took until October last year to clear a spot for the Jeep. After 9 years in the desert w/ carports and parking in the driveway, having a garage again was a novel thing for me..;)
  3. Very Small Something Sportsutility ?
  4. Hard to tell alot from the disguised prototypes, but the greenhouses don't seem to have changed much from the ATS and CTS.
  5. I should have done this a year ago but was too burnt out from the move then....shuffled a bunch o' crap to the shed, threw out a bunch of crap, and had Junk King remove some old lockers and cabinets along the side wall of the garage that I didn't use. I still need to repaint the inside of the garage, but now I can get both cars in...very tight nonetheless... I wonder what they had in here 50 years ago.
  6. I like the looks of the Edge...interested in seeing how the next Explorer, the Bronco and Aviator turn out...
  7. My use case is such that I rarely ever use the 2nd row for people...dogs going to the groomers or vet is about the most use it gets.
  8. I don't need a 3rd row, so for the price, styling, features and broad range of trim levels, for a midsize, I'll stick with (surprise) Jeep Grand Cherokee.
  9. Saw a black late model Chevy Caprice PPV in traffic... I think it was a civilian, not sure..didn't have excess antennas or hidden lights that I could see, and ordinary plates. Interesting how much these look like the '05-13-ish Impalas from behind...
  10. Most Rainiers now are rusty old used SUVs, nothing 'macho' about that...
  11. Apples and oranges; can't really compare old SUVs from the last decade with their cheesy plastic interiors to new CUVs.
  12. I like the looks of the CX-9 inside and out...I could see myself in one.
  13. I wonder if the next Tahoe and Suburban will get the same styling cues...tiny windows, giant ugly grille...
  14. A neighbor down the street had their garage door open, while driving by I spied a dusty '87 Buick Grand National on jack stands inside...
  15. I've had bad results w/ Epson printers, but those have been cheap ones. My most recent one wouldn't recognize it had paper in it after replacing the ink cartridges the first time. I rarely ever print anything, but have a 10 yr old Lexmark 3n1 that still works great. Heavy, a bit slow, it still keeps going.
  16. Side window treatment looks like a rising belt line similar to the Encore, but with a quarter window or different C-pillar trim? Maybe it will have the opera window w/ floaty roof style trim like the Terrain..
  17. Yeah, the STS replaced the FWD Seville (which had an STS trim), RWD version made from '05-11. 10 years ago, it was CTS, STS and DTS, like how now it's ATS, CTS, and XTS... (with CT6 in a parallel track to XTS). (Cadillac is currently in flux between two generations of sedan naming schemes...the letter-TS names being replaced by the CT-digit names)...
  18. Velcro or double-sided tape, then?
  19. The glue that holds it on doesn't hold up to heavy rain?
  20. Nice...looks like a '63 Continental.
  21. 2006 STS, V6. About 100,000 miles. Lt gold w/ cashmere leather interior. Clean w/ a few issues. Carfax was clean, an Ohio car that wintered in Delray Beach, Fl looks like.
  22. So what's the story w/ the Catera? Speaking of old, gold Cadillacs, my sister brought this home this weekend.. 3 years after trading the DTS, she wanted another old Caddy..
  23. Anyone else having issues attaching photos to posts today? I've tried a few times, and they seem to attach (either doing 'choose files' or dragging them, and they seem to attach--no error, but then they show up just as a picture icon rather than the photo.
  24. Saw a clean gold '67 GTO ht and a bright red '62 Bonneville convertible today.
  25. The Compass is about 5 years old, his daughters car. Got hit hard on the right side last year, so he had it in the backyard a while doing body work. He replaced the front fender, both doors, and one morning was putting on bondo w a trowel on the rear quarter..
