  1. ^ lol..that would be terrifying...makes me think of Steven King. Speaking of dead cars, this house down the street from me has a Lincoln Mark VII LSC that I haven't seen move since I've lived here. They have an '85-86 Mustang in the garage also. The house to the left of them has a Honda S2000 in the garage, seen it out a few times.
  2. Everything in my subdivision is mid 60s vintage brick ranches and split levels....the Cleveland area definitely feels more northeast than midwest to me. She's actually only about 12lbs...but long....not sure what she is, I think maybe an Australian Terrier/Daushund mix...
  3. Rain rain rain and more rain here this weekend. Was 70s-80s Thurs and Friday. My backyard is partially flooded. Been watching the Indy Car race from Long Beach (a race I went to for years when I lived out West). Raine is hogging the couch.
  4. I still think they should do AMG versions of the Metris and Sprinter.
  5. Fun factoids...the original Isuzu Rodeo was named the Isuzu MU in Japan--with MU standing for Mysterious Utility. The 2dr (called the Amigo in the US was sold as the Honda Jazz in Japan. The 5dr had many identities world wide---Isuzu Wizard, Chevy Frontera, Holden Frontera, Vauxhall Frontera, Opel Frontera, Chevy Rodeo, Isuzu Wizard, Isuzu Cameo and Isuzu Vega...
  6. Saw a clean red '74-77 Corvette at Dunkin Donuts this morning...had silver t-tops and some rims that looked like they came off of a C5. Also saw this morning the two local Trailblazer SSes I see occasionally--the clean silver one (now has a cowl induction style hood) and the beater gray one. On Thursday evening was out enjoying the weather and went to a beach, saw a sharp turquoise '67 Plymouth Fury 2dr ht from a distance..very nice and rumbly..loud under acceleration..
  7. Reminds me of a model of the Type 2 that VW built for lumberyards, pipe haulers, etc. Saw a pic of one a while back, can't find it now.
  8. 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4 Bought 25,000 miles Currently 36,000 miles Difference 11,000 miles approx $27500 - 24292 = $3208 depreciation $0.29 per mile. FWIW, the MSRP of a '17 equipped the same was $46460. I'm happy I bought CPO a year ago. (very few differences between a '14 and '17 at the same trim level).
  9. The pizza delivery guy tonight was driving a silver late model Merc C63 AMG.
  10. Well, Tesla has brand identity and cache in the public consciousness. The general public has no idea what SF Motors is.
  11. I knew it because I've seen it referenced in British car magazines and Road & Track in Jag-u-war articles.. and I knew the song.
  12. Well, it wasn't Murican or GM, so we can give you a pass for not knowing..
  13. Ready for the back country trails of SW Colorado...out and about around Ouray, Durango, Telluride..
  14. It is funny...Jaguar has used the 'X' prefix in car model names for decades, and putting an 'X' in the name is the universal shorthand for crossover, yet they don't have a crossover with an 'X' in the name...
  15. And PHEVs and EVs have a charge outlet access panel.
  16. Side profile of the SF7 reminds me of a toned down Civic. The styling is pretty anonymous, the branding non-existent. Seems like they would need a better name than 'SF Motors' if they want to stand out in the market...
  17. In car terminology, i think of a cap as a rounded threaded thingy like an oil filler cap, gas cap, tire valve stem cap, etc. While a door is a hinged panel. Maybe 'fuel system refill access panel' would a better description...
  18. I know about the capless systems--my Jeep has one, but you don't call a door a cap..
  19. And 3 brand identities... Jaguar, Land Rover, Range Rover...
  20. Do you mean push down the fuel filler door instead? Mercedes had fuel filler doors like that 30+ years ago...push in on the door, and they pop open (but the filler cap under it was threaded on).
  21. A locking fuel door makes sense if you have a concern of people stealing your gas when parked (or vandals or enemies putting sand, concrete mix, birdseed, etc in your tank). My Jeep has a locking fuel door (took me a while to remember to push the button--I was so used to my old one not having one), and I have a capless fuel filler also.
  22. I wonder if it's as much smoke and mirrors as Faraday Future was.
  23. Clearly not, even from that one photo. Maybe on the same platform, though..
  24. The black bumper version reminds me of the '19 Silverado and the current Charger. Of the 3 current coupes, I'd go for a Challenger..the styling appeals to me the most of the 3, it's the biggest inside, I like the interior and UConnect, and has a sunroof available, and I can see out of it better than the Camaro and Mustang. With the Mustang, I would consider a convertible. I drove Fox Mustangs for 15 years, but the current one just doesn't appeal to me that much...don't know why. With any of them, I'd want a V8.
  25. Sounds cool...a new application of the Bolt drivetrain, I presume..
