Arby's is my lunch guilty pleasure, since there is one about 1/4 mile from home--I can dart out, grab something and get back quickly between my India team call at 11:30 and my Scottsdale team call at 12...I go there probably once a week for lunch, sometimes twice a week if I feel uninspired. I do avoid the curly fries, though...I like the sliders and turnovers.

I haven't seen any photos of the XT4 cargo area inside, but looking at the exterior pics there is very little bodywork behind the rear door and rear axle..not much overhang...so the inside area behind the rear seat is pretty small I would surmise...

Yeah, sounds like the interior volume maximizes passenger space over cargo space. From the photos, it looks like there is a lot of rear legroom.

Looks good, really good. The Adventure front fascia is nice--truck like, the other fascias are too overwrought, IMO.

The photos of the black/dark gray interior are uninspiring. The design is anonymous, without the Cadillac steering wheel, I'd be hard pressed to identify the marque. Lincoln is using interior color much better, IMO.

It's kind of a tweener. Bigger than the MKC, smaller than the Nautilus.

Mini News: Dealers to Mini: Do You Have A Vision?
Robert Hall replied to William Maley's topic in MINI
In today's market, it sounds like Mini needs a Maxi--a 3 row crossover above the Countryman. -
The XT4 is sized between the MKC and Nautilus, while the Aviator is larger than the XT5. I thought the XT4 and XT5 were both 2 row.. seems like Lincoln is going to have 4 CUVs, while Cadillac only 2 at this point...room for an XT3 and XT7 looks like. Anyway, the Aviator concept looks great, very close to a production version...great interior and lines. I don't see a thread about it here yet. Glad to see Lincoln going with actual names instead of more pointless acronyms...wonder when the MKC will get a name.

I would think a smaller model would be inevitable. But not Tracore small. . I assume this is on D2XX (Equinox, Envision, Terrain?). Slightly longer wheelbase than those.

Looks good..not sure about the c-pillar trim--the rear door cutline is way back..from a left front pic, I thought it was a 6 light greenhouse like the XT5, but from the other photos I realized it is not. Putting that triangle of black plastic behind the rear door upper opening always seems to come off as half-assed, too many car makers do such nonsense instead of committing to a quarter window or ending the trim at the door edge. Rear lights when lit up kind of remind me of the CR-V (though those have more a BMW look to the horizontal sections).

More than one tech company I've worked at had a note next to the microwave: "no fish or other seafood". And since in software in the West there are usually plenty of Asians, I would always smell a variety of curries in the lunchrooms...(some very good, some pungent). Edit: As an aside, whilst typing this post, I just realized I've never worked in the Midwest except at universities. All 20 years of my professional career has been in Colorado, Arizona and California. Even now living in Ohio, I'm working for my Arizona client.

When I bought my Jeep, I went on the last day of the month, on a Friday. The dealership was pretty busy, but that would be expected as it is the largest FCA dealer in Arizona. I made it clear to the salesman I was there to buy that day and buy the specific vehicle I had the website open to on my phone. Stating you intentions clearly up front helps as in any transaction. Now if I had just been casually browsing, I probably would gone about 9 am on a Sunday (which I did a couple times before just to check out their Jeep selection). I had been thinking for a few months (after buying my house in Ohio and while traveling back and forth moving) about buying another car, my old Jeep was on its last legs and probably wouldn't have made the drive to Ohio..so I really needed to buy something in a specific time window, before making my run from exile in the desert...I had spent a lot of time online researching GCs, CPOs, etc. I didn't waste anytime asking the salesman any product specs or maintenance history questions because I had done my homework and had already pulled the CAR FAX and Chrysler build data sheet by VIN.

Lincoln News: Lincoln Planning to Add Suicide Doors To Continental
Robert Hall replied to William Maley's topic in Lincoln
True..the '61-69 'suicide door' Continentals are from before my time, though I have seen them at car shows and in movies. As far as Lincolns, I have good memories of the ones my Dad drove from the mid 70s through the 90s...Continentals and Town Cars. I wouldn't mind having a modern Continental at some point in the future..I do like largish luxury cruisers--enjoyed the DTS and Merc S-class my sister and I had.- 67 replies

I'd assume M-B dealers sell lease returns as CPOs like other carmakers do....
-
Personally, if I could arrange the financing and work out the terms w/ a dealer online and have the car delivered to my house, that would be ideal.. I admit, I generally don't like sales people..In my experience, they seem generally to be not knowledgable about the product and kind of sleazy. I wouldn't talk to a sales resource when buying a refrigerator, washer, TV, computer, so why with a car...

Lincoln News: Lincoln Planning to Add Suicide Doors To Continental
Robert Hall replied to William Maley's topic in Lincoln
The trim levels I like are the Laramie, Laramie Longhorn, and Big Horn. I like the Limited interior, but the grille is too busy IMO. I don't like the Rebel front end.- 67 replies

Actually, DS is considered a separate brand within PSA. I think DS could do well here, esp. the DS6 and DS7 CUVs...

I remember in olden days, car dealerships were closed on Sundays and you could drive around the lot after hours and look at cars up close...and in small towns, the used cars on the lot were often unlocked. Nowadays, car dealers tend to be open 7 days a week and have gates so when they are closed, you can't drive on the lot. I do agree w/ being able to sit in and check out a vehicle up close if it's something you plan to consider buying. As far as my GC purchase, I'd sat in the Wk2 GCs at new car shows in the past, studied them online quite a bit, rode in a coworker's '14, and having owned an older GC for almost 17 years, I knew pretty much I wanted another GC with some specific options (sunroof, CD player, nav, light leather interior, towing package, V6, 4x4, etc).
