  1. Nice..but too bad the C7 isn't ready for the 60th anniversary...at least there is a 60th anniversary Corvette, unlike the 30th anniversary...
  2. Really? I guess it took 5. Lexus ES... Toyota Camry... Toyota Highlander... Toyota Solara...Toyota Venza. If you argue about the past Camry's, I'll bring up it's inbred family tree or that most of the Toyota nameplates mean 'Crown', anyway. Toyota uses it own flavor of obfustication. Non-sequitor. The sales of those additional models have no impact on the sales #s of the Camry by itself.. the Camry by itself is a bestseller...and the Lexus and Highlander aren't branded as Camrys.
  3. MCE's normally just change the plastic parts...looks like all the metal below the greenhouse is different. Kind of like what Ford did w/ the Mustang in '10. A new generation w/ a lot of carryover. I don't think the Civic carried over any panels. Anyway, I wonder how much of this is going to apply to the sedan?
  4. I need to master Photoshop..I have an idea in my head of a Spark Stingray...same pointy front end as the regular Spark, but a 2dr w/ a lower roofline and a teardrop pointy tail...
  5. I wonder how a Spark based sporty coupe would look...
  6. The shame is some of the most profitable cars are the most boring or lest fun. Hopefully growth in profit of appliances will lead to a continued supply of fun vehicles for enthusiasts (V-series models, SS models, Corvettes, etc).. Did you just figure this one out? Profitable companies can afford to play and do it right. Companies going broke that try to play come up with half baked good ideas. The better the bread and butter cars sell the more money they can spend on fun and image cars. No..it's one of those obvious things...
  7. Maybe lowering it would help the looks..a sporty coupe doesn't need 9 inches of ground clearance...another 2-3 inches of window depth would help w/ the thick sidedness (a problem so many cars have today)..
  8. I consider my '04 Focus 3-door to have "lots" of cargo space. I can fit more inside my compact hatchback than I can fit in a CTS sedan. I've proven it multiple times. It's difficult to appreciate the cargo space of a hatchback or CUV until you experience one. I'm sure the same is true with a wagon. Yes...the Escort 5dr I had in college had a lot of cargo space relatively speaking...my Mustang hatchback not so much (very shallow). My Jeep has good cargo space...I always plan to have at least one SUV..after 18 years of driving them, couldn't imagine not having the cargo space and ground clearance...I've actually had more hatchbacks (cars and SUVs) than trunked cars in my life..
  9. The GTC is a strikingly good looking car...look forward to seeing one in person eventually.
  10. I think they had the MCE for the Accord a couple years ago..this is the next generation, though the greenhouse looks carryover...
  11. The XTS only has a 111 inch wheelbase, though, not really big car territory...and it is narrow.
  12. The shame is some of the most profitable cars are the most boring or lest fun. Hopefully growth in profit of appliances will lead to a continued supply of fun vehicles for enthusiasts (V-series models, SS models, Corvettes, etc)..
  13. Yeah, it's not like the design had anything in common either..completely different looking.
  14. The ILX is a clean design, but the greenhouse looks very Lexus-like...
  15. Maybe they could raise the roof a few inches to make the rear window usable...stylish, but the micro rear window on the Evoque is absurd..
  16. Would be great for going up and down my Mom's driveway in Ohio in the winter (7/8th of a mile long, gravel).
  17. RDX is much larger....more CR-V sized, I think..
  18. Ambitious... so is the ILX replacing the TSX?
  19. I may be wrong and this is off-topic, but I think the '68-72 Chevelle 2drs had the same rear window and c-pillar slope..it was only the quarter window shape that differed as far as the greenhouse. The '70-72 C-pillar and quarter window look a lot like the Skylark/GS of the same years.. As far as the 130 goes, I'd like to see it in person.
  20. accelerate
  21. Nice..that faded red but w/ white bumpers, grille, etc is what the '57 GMC panel I saw near Prescott, AZ last summer looked like...
  22. The article cited concern over having it in the same dealership as the Buick Encore. Chevy is probably a better place for an xB competitor anyway.. http://www.autoblog.com/2012/01/11/gmc-granite-is-dead/
  23. Yes, the greenhouse and rear clearly is an evolution of the current Mondeo...nothing from the current Fusion really to been in the new one..
  24. I'm not sure if '70s Chevelle or Monte Carlo styling cues translate well to a Vega-sized car...the 130 looks very tall and narrow...kind of 1-series proportions w/ a Neon-ish c-pillar. I can see the 140 being built as a Chevy coupe and a Cadillac ELR w/ a lot of parts in common...
  25. People keep forgetting about the bigger issue--the upcoming increase in CAFE standards..that alone is going to drive more and more subcompact and compact product and smaller, more efficient drivetrains across all the brands...
