  1. Looking forward to those...recently found the HW '12 Camaro ZL1..
  2. Greenhouse looks like the XTS.
  3. Will be interesting to see a comparo w/ this and the Cruze and Focus...
  4. Noticed that...wonder if there is going to be a hatchback version or the sedan will have a rear wiper available..it's been done before, but uncommon...
  5. Actually, Bentley only has the old school pushrod engine in their senior Mulsanne line..the younger, hipper Continental models have a DOHC W12 and now this new V8..
  6. Fun..how high did you get on that flight?
  7. You would think death traps like the Astro/Safari van and last generation Blazer and Jimmy would be near the top of the list.
  8. Slow news time of the year...this kind of stuff always comes out in December.
  9. Wasn't the '70 Buick 455 Stage 1 like one of GM's highest rated engines of that era in terms of torque? Like over 500 lbs-ft?
  10. Hmm...guess by badging it as an SRT Viper they don't have to deal w/ the Dodge brand issue in markets where Dodge doesn't exist (i.e. outside NA)...IIRC, the previous model was called the Chrysler SRT10 in some markets.
  11. Cool..those remind me of some that I've seen on a ridge outside Prescott, AZ...about a dozen or so '50s-60s Chevy and GMC trucks in a row, incl. a '57 GMC panel..
  12. Hopefully it will be more differentiated from the Civic than the CSX is...
  13. How has Bentley "always" been a "V8 brand?" Prior to the VW purchase, Bentley had used TWO V8 engines...a Rolls-Royce engine from 1959 and a BMW engine from the late 1990s. Prior to that, they had six-cylinder and inline eight-cylinder engines (up to 8 litres). Ok... for the last half-century they have been a V8 brand... Perhaps...but not necessarily by choice. Who chooses to use only ONE engine for nearly 40 years (and its still in production)? Well, they are a low volume niche maker...and RR owned them for a long time and they were notoriously slow to change...

  15. Printed media has been dying for over a decade...nothing new...newspaper content has moved to the web, magazines have been moving to the web and PDF or eBook formats. This will continue to grow. Newspaper organizations will still need journalists to write the articles for the websites, etc.
  16. Is the Beetle available in a trim level comparable to the GLI (for over $30k probably, though...)
  17. I'll probably make a trek up to one of AZ's ski resorts for a weekend or two this winter, mostly just to get away...but I doubt if I'll hit the slopes--too out of shape for that currently.
  18. IIRC, one of the magazines a few years ago (I think it was a Hemmings magazine) had a photo spread on a '61 Impala SS 4dr ht w/ a 409 and 4spd. I don't recall if it had the SS badging, though. Who knows exactly what was built 50 years ago..
  19. Came out of the elevator in my office building's underground parking garage....heard a rumble, as a minty-condition, apple green '71 Road Runner came rumbling down the ramp...covered in rain droplets, black strobe stripe over the roof and c-pillars, lights on, '383' on the hood insert badges.....mmmmm....Mopielicous!!! My favorite style of Road Runner.
  20. Sweet..don't see ones of this generation sans vinyl top very often. Beautiful car...probably my favorite generation of big Caddies.
  21. I thought Newsfeeder was a auto posting feed bot.
  22. I never decorate for any event, other than political bumper stickers around election time every 4 years..
  23. Rustable exhaust systems help keep Midas and other muffler shops in business...you don't want to put them out of work, do you? That would be bad for the economy...
  24. Snow would be nice..had some up in the high country, but only rain today here in the valley of the sun...
