See It Drive - Special #1 - Holden VE UTE
Wierd photography makes them look as narrow as an Aveo.

Not my first 1986 Cadillac
Those high-mileage money pits will kill you...it's like flushing your money down the toilet.

Not my first 1986 Cadillac
I have friends that were like that in their wild and crazy youth. But you now have a stable job, starting a family..time to settle down eventually w/ a minivan and a FWD family sedan (Malibu, Camry, etc).

Seattle’s S.L.U.T. streetcar causing a stir
That Cascades train route looks fun...I've taken long-distance rail trips in Europe, but never in the US. I want to take the California Zephyr sometime--from Denver to Emeryville, Ca. I have friends in Oakland, so this would be a fun way to go out to visit (not as cheap as flying Southwest, but more fun).

What type or types of vehicle(s) do you buy new?
SUVs... my last new car was my '00 Grand Cherokee...I'm not sure what my next new car purchase will be, either a sports car for fun, or a luxury car or sports sedan for a daily driver. If I ever buy a FWD family sedan, minivan, or truck then I've lost my sanity..

Drivers wanted: Automakers push crossovers
I guess gas prices aren't high enough yet for Americans to think like the ROW.

A friend of mine lives in Marietta, says it's pretty nice...but I haven't been there.

I prefer the term contractor or consultant..

Dallas has the same problem with ice storms, or so I've heard (my sister worked 6 months in Dallas and had to deal w/ ice storms a few years ago). Portland is the same way, I got stuck in an awful ice storm there a couple of years ago...it's weird these cities that don't invest in salt trucks, snow plows, etc.

2008 Liberty Review
Maybe the diesel version will be sold in the US then?

We're number 2! YAY
I think the CA standards should be used nationwide..it's dumb for the states not to all have equivalent standards...air quality is equally important anywhere in the country, IMHO..

Car spotting--saw a Prius taxi today!
The most unusual taxi I've ridden in was a Fiat Multipla in Rome. Small outside, huge inside..very strange design...I also rode in an older Lancia wagon.. In Stresa (Northern Italy, on Lake Maggiore) I rode in an older diesel E-class..must have been around a 1990 or so..spotless inside and out.

Car spotting--saw a Prius taxi today!
Interesting...stretched 500s, eh? Never seen one. We have a mix of the usual Crown Vics and Grand Marquis here, along with Explorers, Trailblazers, even a few DTSes and Park Avenues around.

We're number 2! YAY
Both times I've been there in the last 1 1/2 years it was on bright, sunny clear days...I didn't notice smog the way I notice it in LA. By the way, we're #13 now in the most traffic congested metro areas (Denver)... I do wonder if my allergies, etal would return if I moved back to that area..I know when I lived in eastern Ohio I tended to have hayfever, various seasonal allergies and a lot of ear infections in the winter. I've had none of that here in dry, sunny Colorado..though I do get nosebleeds from the dry air.

Oil prices above $83 after setting new record
Hmmm....if it keeps going up, it'll be time to trade the GC on a Prius..

I like big buttes
Cool...I love driving roads like that.

Car spotting--saw a Prius taxi today!
I saw a green and white Prius taxi today in traffic..I googled and found this article: From the Denver Business Journal: ---Metro Taxi doubled its fleet of hybrid vehicles on Denver streets Monday, bringing the total to 10. The addition of the five new Toyota Hybrid Prius is in keeping with a pledge Metro Taxi made in late May to replace all 500 vehicles in its fleet with hybrids. Metro Taxi said replacing one of its taxis with a Prius is equal to converting five non-commercial vehicles to hybrids. The company estimates converting its entire fleet will save 3 million gallons of gas a year.

What Are You Listening To?
Sitting in my cube this afternoon, I'm listening to Wierd Al Yankovic's 'Straight out of Lynnwood'...'White and Nerdy'.

Wheel wells
No salt on the roads here in winter, so I don't worry about it. But I do get the underbody spray option at the car wash.

First Look: 2008 Chrysler 300
It's probably not connected because the Charger and Magnum police package models don't have a center console (at least not a regular one).

A-T-L-A-N-T-A
I've been through the airport and driven through GA driving between Ohio and Fla years ago, so I really know nothing about it. I know a couple of people that live there, seems like a good metro area for business. I'm wary of the South, not sure I'd want to live anywhere in the Bible Belt, but I do still like S. Florida, since I lived in the Keys as a teenager. I'd probably be happy in the Miami metro area (if I could readjust to the humidity).

SPY SHOTS! 2009 Chevrolet Camaro
Nope..a hardtop doesn't have a fixed b-pillar.

First Look: 2008 Chrysler 300
Hmmm..I see nothing different about the front end...at the rear, the taillight detail is different and the decklid now has the brake light and a lip. The wheels even look the same.
