  1. Are you doing any of your assesment of the LaX from actually sitting in one or spending any reasonable amount of time behind the wheel? The impression you are giving is that all your assesment is from those pictures. I think you need to go twiddle the knobs in a LaX before compairing them to an Accord because they are one of the things on the LaX that made me think Audi. The center stack in the LaX does flow rather well. If you're going to go after a poor flowing stack from GM, feel free to attack my CTS for it, but the LaX shouldn't be on your hit list. The LaX does have softer seats, the accord has firmer ones. That is a personal preference thing. I don't find either seat particularly comfortable but I prefer the LaX to the Accord. One of the things that sold me on my CTS was that the seat felt like it was designed specifically for my butt.
  2. Why? Given that budget, what would you want your mother to drive in a Boston winter? Keep in mind that she's probably not going to invest in snow tires, she's probably not the best in bad weather. I much rather have my mother is a relatively tame FWD car with decent stability, some luxury features, and good looks. That's why I picked out a nice V6 Aurora, Hertz special for her. Fairly loaded for a V6 model, 6,000 miles, $26,000. It's a 2001 that she bought in 2002. A LaX CXS would be a great replacement for her.
  3. Oh look, they decided to update the Dodge Raider.
  4. Important safety tip. When you see clouds that are green, swirling, or green and swirling, take cover. I don't know what it is, but when clouds turn green, there is always something nasty afoot.
  5. My mortgage on the stone house behind my car in this pic is $739 a month including taxes and insurance. 3 bedroom 2 bath fireplace 1 car garage 1/3 acre land 3 porches hardwood floors throughout 15 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh.
  6. Cool? Again? It would have to have been cool in the first place. Now if we're talking cool compaired to a Cadillac valiant attempt at an entry-level luxury car.... then sure... a Civic is cool.
  7. Nissan Pulsar
  8. all of them If B.A.S. is as portible as they say, and they've tested it on engines up to a 5.3, then there is no reason to not make it available on every model in the GM line.
  9. Why are Lexus Hybrids good, yet Cadillac hybrids would be bad? People are really clamoring for the RX400h.
  10. Bring it.... Sixty8
  11. Dealer group 1: Chevy Dealer group 2: Saturn Olds <I wish> Dealer group 3: Buick Pontiac GMC Dealer group 4: Cadillac Saab Hummer
  12. We have a suprisingly large gay population here on C&G
  13. I've felt for a while that AMC was about 15 years ahead of it's time. If they could have survived <minus Reneult> until about 1992, they would have been fine.

Well it looks like you got the wrist motion down at least... j/k
  19. Thanks, I have more, but I can't seem to find them. Photography is an amature hobby of mine.
  20. I think Buick and Cadillac should get some Hybrids. The Lexus GS has one, so the CTS and STS should get one. The Lexus RX has one so the Rendevous and SRX should get one. My crystal ball says that Acura will have them soon too.
  21. Overall a good review but.... This part is odd. The Northstar has always seemed smooth and quiet when gramping around town and Indyracer willing when shumachering it. One of the few things that has consistantly been great on past Cadillac reviews was the Northstar. The reviewer may have trashed the rest of the car but they'd usually end with "but at least the engine is great!". The four speed may be missing a gear in some people's eyes. But even with just 4 speeds, I'd never describe it as clunky.
  22. I'd just like to point out that the Taurus and 500 individually ALSO outsold the LaX.....
  23. My Ferrari is still hotter...
