Would You Rather: ZL1 vs Hellcat Edition
At the lower levels of performance, I might pick the challenger because I like the size of the car and I'm a sucker for the Hemi. But I know I'd end up killing myself in a Hellcat where I feel in absolute control in a CTS-V. It just comes down to that.

ZL1, no question..... and I've never even driven it. I have driven the Hellcat.

Luckily, there is a website that tracks auto manufacturer sales numbers each month. The best selling Benzes are the small front drive cars and the E-Class. The GLK/GLC has never been a big seller with the SRX beating it in sales regularly. The front drivers make up the bulk of MB sales growth with nearly everything except the C-Class being in the red for 2015. The best selling Lexuses are, in fact, the badge jobs. The ES was a luxury Camry, now it is a luxury Avalon. The RX started off as a JDM Toyota Harrier which itself is just a tall Camry wagon. The LX is a Toyota Land Cruiser. The GS, up until this most recent version sold so few copies each month that even the old STS handily beat it in sales, but it wasn't a badge job.

The 93+ Fleetwood with the towing package has an equal to higher towing capacity than some full size trucks depending on their configuration.... and all mid-size trucks except the GM Canyonado with the diesel. True. i think max or the Caprice/Roadmaster with towing was 5000 and the Fleetwood with the towing package was 6000 or 7000! Yup, fleetwood was 7,000. There hasn't been a sedan since that was rated that high. The best currently is the Panamera with about a 5,000 lbs rating and nothing else comes close.

Your friend's was probably a 91 or 92 with the non-LT1 350. The 93 - 96 got the LT1 and the difference is night and day. 94-96 got the LT1. But yes, would say a pre 94. may have have been even worse, a TBI 305, yuck! woops, I was off a year for the switch.

Naturally, because it's a Benz, it's more complicated than that. The C200d with the manual is a 1.6 liter. The C200d with an automatic is a 2.0 liter. The AMG on that wagon is AMG appearance package, but none of the hardware. The 1.6 diesel is only available on the sedan and wagon, and not the coupe or convertible.
