Wow! 250lbs is a big drop in weight for such a small car. I really like the new design, but I'm especially excited for the new 1.4T because that will likely be the new engine for the Encore when it gets refreshed.

You seem to be overlooking some key details about the SRX. It already HAS an active damping suspension, the interior goes up in quality with equipment levels, including real wood trim, and the kicker is that the SRX offers REAL torque-vectoring AWD with an eLSD. The black label Lincolns are nice, and so is the optional turbo V6, but don't sit here and tell us how inferior GM products are when you clearly didn't research them. If you compare the volume selling trim levels, you'll have equal 300+ hp engines, equally luxurious interiors, and trade back and forth on certain features. I did not say GM products are inferior. Please don't get defensive. I am however, in this Lincoln thread, refusing to believe the constant negativity toward Lincoln that is displayed in many threads, by suggesting this MKX is superior. And yes, I was wrong on the suspension, Everything else, I was correct on. Well no... you suggested that GM has nothing to compete with the MKX. I didn't address the relative "goodness" of either the SRX, nor the Enclave, nor the MKX. I am simply pointing out that your assertion that "GM doesn't have anything to compete with the MKX" is incorrect. The MKX is a good vehicle, it is also one of the newest in its segment for about 6 months. That doesn't mean that there is no competition.

Awww.. sorry buddy.. pets aren't just "pets" they're true family members and missed as such. I know. She is such a personality too. In many ways, the typical cat, and in many ways, no cat like her. She seems to have more personality and moods than some people I know.

Random and sad thought: It is so difficult when a pet passes. We have to say goodbye to our cat Bella this afternoon. She's been my buddy since my partner moved in with her 7 years ago. Always at the door to greet me when I come home and always waiting for me to wake up in the morning. I feel more deeply about this than I have some relations that have passed. I think in part because I had an idea it was coming for them and also it is tough because I have to make the decision to end her suffering. This just came on so suddenly.

He does have a point. You have really spin up the rpm in the 3.6 in the lambdas to get to that torque. That hurts fuel economy and makes them feel a little sluggish.

They don't have any heavy-duty vehicles. Sterling used to be the only brand that offered everything from a pickup truck to a class 8 vehicle. Well, now they're dead. Sterling is dead? I thought their pickups were just rebadged Rams anyway

Well the 200 platform could theoretically be RWD because of the way they set up the AWD on that car... but everything ahead of the firewall would need to be new.

There's enough Chrysler 200 in that thing to make me wonder if they reconfigured the front end somehow.

The Maserati platform, if you're referring to the Ghibli, is a chopped up Chrysler LX platform. There's no stinking way they are cutting the LX down to a 3-series sized vehicle. So this might be something new.

This is the Chinese market Envision, but I would expect the US version to be at least this lux. Click the picture to enlarge.

Possibly troubling for Lincoln is the coming Buick Envision. It will be smaller than the MKX but larger than the MKC. Buick does really well with the Enclave and Encore, so Buick could end up offering a luxury value that Lincoln would end up having trouble competing against.

What platform is that on I wonder. At first, I thought it was a 200 based car, but not with the front wheels that far forward it isnt
