Lamborghini Huracan Gets Lashed by Corvette Z06
Drew Dowdell replied to Cmicasa the Great's topic in Lamborghini
It doesn't sound like the Vette driver is using No-Lift during shifting... maybe he is, but if he isn't, he could be getting even better acceleration -

He lives above the snow-belt of the snow-belt.

We're really happy with our Encore and it isn't for the vroom vroom performance. We live in the suburbs of Pittsburgh but we are in downtown often. I also take lots of long trips in the Encore. It's great for both city scooting and long distance comfort. 0-60 is pretty meaningless to us. That said, I'll have a Renegade Trailhawk and Renegade Sport review up in a week or three.

Do U sell for Benz? Just wondering. Either way.. I would say that Cadillac as of late have been showing a few exclusive engines coming.. the TT V8 is on its way, and I highly doubt that they will use it anything except Cadillac I don't work for Benz in anyway. I do think the TT V8 will be Cadillac only which is good. But the Germans already have lots of TT V8s, Cadillac needs one now, not in 2020. the TTV8 is 18 to 24 months away.

Just thinking that a "LIKE" button would be kinda cool when the new software arrives. Anyway.. I agree. I think that U should be able to have a choice of at least 2 engines in each car. Add the cost in for the accommodation. 200hp, 206lb-ft would be a damn nice add on in a Cruze RS and a Sonic SS We have the Vote Up and Vote Down buttons in place of the Like button. Look for the red and green arrows.

My issue with GM is that they hold back the good stuff from North America. The 1.6T is a 200hp, 206 lb-ft direct injected engine that returns fantastic fuel economy. The Europeans get it... so far, it's here only in the Buick Cascada. Why can't we get this engine in the Sonic and Cruze and Encore and Trax? Even the 1.5T with 160hp and 184lb-ft would be a welcome upgrade in these cars

Reader Reviews can go in the forum named for that. If you're interested in "going pro" and having your reviews featured on the front page, PM me after a few of your Reader Reviews go up and we can talk.

The trouble for both the Cadenza and the K900 is that they are decent cars, but better options exist at their price points. $60k gets you a very very nicely equipped and better handling CTS or 5-series... and very soon a CT6.

I'm happy to offer you guys a new home.

There is a whole segment of car guys who have no interest in RWD pony cars. It doesn't matter how good the performance is and for how cheap, you'll never catch them in a Mustang or Camaro. If the Sonic 5-door had a better performing powertrain option, you might be able to pry them out of their Civics or Scions.... but GM will never ever do it with a Camaro. It's not wrong or right, it is simply a preference segment.

But not everything needs to be steel. -
I think I asked them to add that Cutlass emoticon eons ago before I owned the site. I had a 1994 Convertible at the time. I found C&G and signed up because I needed troubleshooting help... and then just stuck around. Yeah, the Toronado is a preservation. It's not a show car by any means, but its in good shape, everything works, and it gets driven regularly.

Hey man! Yeah it's just difficult to find where to even read or post there are so many threads/lounges/however that is suppoed to be worded lol We have a huge software upgrade coming as well. I was initially hoping for it to be ready for end of this month, but the software company is still swashing bugs. This version seems to work pretty well for now, so it isn't a rush, but I have to say I'm excited by what the new software is capable of. Nice! heck, from what us MT guys are used to you don't need to change a single thing.. lol If you want to see bad try out MT for a few minutes, that is all you'll need. Do you know what kind of changes there will be? Functionally, the software will work the same way it does today. It will be a bit faster than it is currently, but effectively, the forums will largely remain the same. Once it is installed however, I will be able to add other features to the site that we currently don't have. One of the nice new features that will be in the forums though is the @Mentions. You know how you can type @Username on facebook and it will notify that user that you mentioned them? We'll have that feature here too. As far as the number of threads. The Lounge is our general forum... post whatever you like in there as long as it is work safe. Our catalog of forums is pretty extensive I know, but we have almost 14 years of threads here... we had to wrangle the chaos into categories. I'm pretty light on the moderating, so if you put something in the wrong place, someone will move it where it belongs without any fuss. The best way to see what the latest posts are is the View New Content button at the top of each page. With VNC, it will give you the latest content in the app you are currently in... so if you are looking at articles, it will give you a list of those, if you're in the gallery it will show you the latest picture uploads, same for garage... etc. If you have trouble, I'm never far away and there are plenty of people who have been around here for over a decade who can also help out.

I'm pretty sure GM's turbo engines all have good high-octane tables that give enough benefit to power and fuel economy that the cost of 91 octane is just about entirely offset. I'm weary of putting regular in any turbocharged engine, they're essentially being dumbed down just to be able to accept the cheap stuff. Trifecta offers 1.4T tunes in a number of flavors. You can tell them what you want and they'll meet your needs. I would honestly test your car on premium gas for a few tanks and just monitor the differences in fuel economy and feel, you might be surprised. I have a road trip coming in a few weeks. I know it will do 33mpg on the highway and we get 26mpg city. I'll have to test it with premium since work is paying anyway. Are you saying the pocket rockets are cross shopped with GTRs and Z06s, given Chevy and Nissan's plethora of performance products and therefore should not be needed? As far as why the EFF someone would pay $22K for a GD Fiesta if Mustang is $1K more: Choices - Didn't you say Cadillac is hurting in sales because of what? Choices. GM flourished in the 50s and 60s due to choices and today it doesn't. Utility - Good luck with putting your ovesized utility items in a Mustang when you make trips to Lowes One Car Does It All - Not everyone has luxury or resources to own different types of vehicles for different moods owing to financial, locational, or desirability constraints. But yet want balance of performance, utility, fuel economy and fun to drive. These cars fit the bills. Insurance Cost - Insurance is not going to be same for those two cars. And which one will a cop catch while speeding? Value - You get a lot more value for a $22k fully loaded fiesta than a $23k bottom dweller mustang. So, performance is NOT the only metric here. The effing one trick pony loses to a GD pocket rocket holistically . and RWD... in many parts of the country, RWD is a no-go. Lots of people buy GTI and GLIs... why shouldn't Chevy go for that crowd?

Yes and no. The GM 7-speed DCT is (1) Designed with and made in China by Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (上气集团)- GM partnership. (2) It is a dry clutch DCT, which is slightly more efficient and cheaper than a wet clutch DCT, but cannot handle high torque loads from high power engines suitable for the aforementioned applications. Thanks, I hadn't thought about the torque loads. I thought DCT were tougher than torque converter automatics on that front. Do you know what the max torque input of that transmission is?

The best results seem to come from a blend of aluminum and other materials anyway... -
Doesn't GM already have a 7speed DCT in the wings?
