  1. The Continental looks prestigious, the Genesis just looks like a big, generic, luxury car.
  2. I'd like to see pics of the Fiero (in its own thread of course)
  3. Depends on the car. A regular C Class I like. The above pic is just a C Class for someone with more money than taste.
  4. That sounds like a steal, might be really low mileage though. They have terrible depreciation rates, so I'm sure GM is subsidizing it.
  5. Well that's why I was taking issue with your wording. After the Fiat-Chrysler merger, Lancia started selling a rebadged version of 300C as the Lancia Thema in Europe. It was better than our 300 in a single way.... it could come with the same 3.0 Diesel that is currently available in the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Other than that, it was basically identical to our Chrysler 300.. including the 5.7 liter Hemi V8.
  6. How would you know? Sounds like they are going to use Volvo platforms... so I would expect at least Volvo level of quality.
  7. So here's my beef with the wording of Question #3. Technically Lancia would count as a correct answer as well, but I know you weren't looking for that.
  8. While the Tesla charging stations may not be as numerous as you might like, however, Teslas can be charged at other charging stations too, just not as fast as a Tesla SuperCharger station.
  9. Agreed... I just wish they had something in the GM stable that was more akin to the Grand Cherokee. I like the Lambdas, but they are just too mini-van for me personally. The GC is much more my cup of tea.
  10. well.... A for effort.
  11. They want a garish, overweight, fat-ass, ostentatious sedan? Didn't they already cancel Maybach as a brand?
  12. The ATS stands out in a parking lot full of BMW 320is no problem.
  13. Interesting... this could be the "family car" brand to compliment the Volvo "premium car" brand... and be just what the doctor ordered for Volvo.
  14. Sort of like how American car companies have to rely on pickups and SUVs to turn profit, we know the Cobalt, Focus, and Caliber weren't paying the bills. VW brand does really well elsewhere in sales, just not here. Profit per car on a VW globally is only like $700, not that much. I don't see Peich just retiring to Austria to drive his Veyrons, the guy is going to come back with a vengence because he is a narcissist. But that's not the case anymore. GM and Ford have learned new tricks and are putting out small cars that actually compete in their segments. Chrysler is a little bit further behind in the Dart powertrain, but the vehicle itself is a solid buy. I wonder if this move seals the fate of the VW Passat.
  15. The thing is, the "normal" Suburban can handle most of the requirements that the old 3/4 tons could. Most of the people who "needed" a Suburban 2500 10 years ago are probably finding the 1500 capable of doing everything they need today.
  16. I'll be getting a first drive in one of these in about 2 weeks.
  17. Aurora was originally supposed to be a Cadillac, but Bonneville is always a Pontiac.
  18. Apparently a number of new Fisker Karmas have been spotted in the wild, cleverly disguised as old Fisker Karmas. The cars are going back into production and these are undergoing testing, but as I understand it, the branding will eventually be different.
  19. I think I've seen ads for those handbuilt cars at the back of car magazines.... they send it do you in packages over time and you built it yourself. Much cheaper than ordering all the parts of JC Whitney individually.
  20. I really like the Regal myself. It is about as close as you can get to an American Audi without the maintenance costs. It is on our list as a possible replacement for our Encore sometime next year. There is nothing new on the horizon for the Regal, it was recently refreshed.
  21. I've driven them a few times... I still stop and watch them go by https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-E_84YVEB88
  22. No... it's lazily retro.... Mercedes has left it to age like an old gym sock tossed on the side of the street
