  1. Lol, I agree with you. I think we are the only two people in this world that likes the looks of this car (front).
  2. All the UAW is now is a thorn in the economic progress of American industry.
  3. I have never been a fan of Asian cars for MANY reasons. Their design is one of those reasons. They have no soul............kind of like their citizens (ouch!). Anyway, I would rather GM get their own inspiration (like they did in the day). I would not mind if they got a couple of design ideas from the Germans either (their quality is getting very shady, but their designs are still cool).
  4. Well, here in southern Missouri, Japanese vehicles sell BUT your still an outcast if you drive a Non-American vehicle.
  5. Yes, most anti-union people do realize this. That was yesterday, this is today! Now, unions are DESTROYING the US auto industry through their extreme greed! If they end up losing their jobs, they will deserve EVERY bit of it! Instead of agreeing to pay for only part of their benefits, they won't have ANY benefits at all. Instead of getting payed a fair wage for their work, they will have to have the government give them handouts (paid for by mostly non-union WORKERS). Get into the REAL world UAW, because your fantasy world is coming to a quick end.
  6. Like it or not, union BS like this is just attracting the big 3 to the open arms of China, Mexico, Vietnam, etc.. Listen, these companies CAN NOT survive with these current union utopian conditions. Even if these are not utopian conditions (which I believe is a complete lie by the UAW), the fact is that the big three are not surviving. A company will do whatever it takes to survive, they WILL NOT go out of business just to pay what the unions are "owed". I believe this is the beginning of the end of the UAW.
  7. To be fair, the article does quote some UAW members that understand the plight of the American auto industry. Although it seems that the the general consensus of the UAW is not that way.
  8. Well, I just found this on Yahoo business and it kind of angered me. The mentality of these people makes me sick. Here is the article. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070327/ap_on_..._contract_talks This is my favorite part of the piece I from what I have experienced with the UAW, this is a VERY popular opinion:
  9. Ok, all this guy is, is a grown up kid that loves driving go-karts and want's to be COOL (bomber jacket 24-7 and those "sweet" pants.) THESE ARE THE PEOPLE THAT NEED TO DESIGN THE FUTURE OF GM! I don't care if they come from China, USA, Brazil, Poland, etc.., these people love LIFE and FUN! You know this guy is going to look past the "numbers" and design the car with the only standard of his being FUN and COOL. I see nothing with this guy designing a key GM product.
  10. I build my PC's with many ASUS, Corsair, Seagate, Thermal Lake, and Lian Li parts. Intel and AMD are both great processors, so you will win either way with those. If all of this is foreign to you, then find a person to build one of these for you.The computers I build with these parts work VERY well and are much cheaper than a compatible store bought computer. They NEVER give me problems either. Now, for my laptop, I use Apple. I have not used one of the new Intel Mac's (can run both Apple OSX and Microsoft Windows), but I know that EVERY Apple product that I have ever purchased has been top notch. Software is getting MUCH easier to find for the Apple operating system because of the increasing popularity. I have used computers a LOT for about 25 years, so I have seen the good and the bad.
  11. Well, there are many directions we can go with this. Here is the article: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070319/ts_nm/...rime_detroit_dc
  12. From this article, it seems that it is going to release the BH under the Hyundai name. Now, I think Hyundai's are decent vehicles, but they are in no position yet (in brand image or quality) to fight against luxury vehicles. I believe they will eventually get there, but they need to give it more time. Anyway, here is a link to the article: http://money.cnn.com/2007/03/19/news/inter...sion=2007031907
  13. I see what you mean. Although, if Hyundai was giving me a huge account, I would drive an Accent no matter how much I made. I would have to get my driving excitment somewhere else though.
  14. I agree, Cadillac does not need to compete with such makers as Audi and BMW. Let them make those lowly sub-30k luxury cars. There is NO profit and prestige in that class. Cadillac should sell 30k+ luxury cars ONLY!* *Sarcasm
  15. A friend of mine has a 1997 Jeep Wrangler (manual, 6cyl) that he bought new off the lot way back when. He STILL has the thing and it's STILL in pristine shape. It's only had one minor problem. The thing has been through hell and back and it's STILL an awesome ride. Even though it's pretty dangerous, I love driving in his vehicle with no doors and no roof. We actually tried to drive with the front window down but that was too much for us. Anyway, even though these things are a VERY rough ride and are less accommodating than a refugee camp, these are possibly the best SUVs on the market and is one of the few things that Chrysler has going for them.
  16. Well, Toyota plants will eventually become unionized and they will start to move production back out of the USA.
  17. GM was forced to sign the contracts or face crippeling strikes. GM could do NOTHING but bow down to their demands. I think if GM were smart, they would start negotiations with governments for Mexican and Chinese factories. Now if GM plays the "pay half your health care or have no job" card, then the UAW would not be able to back GM into a corner.
  18. Well, I think the UAW members should pay half their health care costs. They would STILL be much better off than the vast majority of USA workers (with NO paid health care) plus GM would get some much needed help. It's time the UAW leaves their health care utopia and joins the harsh truth of the real world.
  19. I like the rear of this better than the G8. The G8 rear reminds me too much of a Dodge Avenger.
  20. This vehicle would corner the hearse market for Cadillac.
  21. Well, since the Chinese want a good inroad into the USA automotive market, and an entire USA automotive corporation is up for sell..............................
  22. Here is an idea for SAAB..........ACTUALLY RELEASE THE AERO-X!!!!! I know it would take some cash to release a production model, but I almost can promise you that it would bring SAAB into a MUCH more positive light (and get MANY new buyers). Your “friend” An angry SAAB dealer
  23. Well, I bought a new 2006 SAAB 9-5 from my employer about half a year ago and I had it detailed in the shop today. I got out there to get my car and the paint was totally stripped from my hood logo! Now, I know all the workers back there and they would not do that on purpose so it was probably a defective logo. As I looked at some more SAAB's in the shop (the ones which are a year or 2 old), I noticed the same thing happening to all the logos. Yet, when I see the SAAB-Scania logos, they are as blue as can be. Has GM made these logos cheaper? To me if the logo paint peels off, then that's pretty bad advertisement (especially on a 6 month old car). By the way, other than that, this car has been great!
  24. I could care less about unions. They dug their own grave and it's about to be nailed shut..........by them. I, on the other hand, will keep working for my non-unionized dealer. I will keep paying my portion of my health care while getting paid a fair sum. I will advance based on my hard work and my abilities.........not because I have seniority. If it takes the fact that I will be selling Chinese made GM cars, so be it. At least all my co-workers and I will still have our jobs because we worked with the company, not against it.
