It makes me wonder where all of these troubled-supplier stories are pointing: fully internalizing components/systems R&D and production (as examples, Delphi/Visteon returning to GM/Ford)? Or is the supplier picture so messed up right now that no one really knows what to do and OEMs just throw money at suppliers in hope things will hang on and a Hollywood-style happy ending happens?

Sorry to intrude into your discussion guys, but I don't think enzl and The O.C. have any disgust for GM and its products. They do feel the difficulties of pushing GM prodcuts against what the competition has to offer, I am glad thay are vocal about it, and I hope thay voice their concerns to GM people as well. @ Oldmoboi - IIRC the diesel CTS will arrive during 2009.

I wish the rear got more of an Evoq theme with the thinner mini-fin-like taillights, but I think this will be hanging on without a major update until decisions are made regargind the C7 Corvette. Too bad, as this could be the halo car for Cadillac.

Yeah, and it's also a pre-production interior. I wouldn't expect the attention to assembly detail (and even the visual/tactile textures themselves) to mirror the production car.

Really sad to see the STS dragging itself, since the CTS shows Cadillac can do much better.
