    I understand GM is getting away from daily rental fleets and that there was a stirke that is delaying production and revenue recognition (IIRC, accountig-wise sales are recorded when the vehicle is shipped to the dealer), but still... a 30% decrease? Ouch!

    Well, since Pontiac seems to be heading towards an Aveo-clone strategy, couldn't Buick have it's own Riviera or Velite sitting on Alpha? Or maybe a slightly restlyed Holden Torana sedan? Or even something that is China-only?

    Aha, so it's a 4-cyl! How does your mom (and/or you) feel about the car's performance? I read (IIRC on the online Sun-Sentinel) that some 75% of mid-size cars sold in recent months have been 4-cyl models, as people don't seem to lose much in real world driving versus V6 models, while getting fuel economy gains and of course paying a lower price.
