Very good looking in that colour. Congrats! I wish you many happy miles with it.

What does your Desktop look like?
Suggest Chevrolet, Cadillac, Hummer and GME work together so GM can control the distribution of NA brands in Europe

Spied: 2009 GMC Terrain
I like the Torrent, but I think it's what the Equinox should have been. I think this type of vehicle fits GMC better.

WE CAN'T WAIT TILL NOVEMBER
It's destabilized already, and it's been like that for quite some time. But if the US pulled out of Iraq today, a larger portion of the proverbial $h! would hit the proverbial fan.

aha! Satty's idea of a lighter model with a smaller engine would be fun.

GM @ Beijing '08: 2009 Buick Excelle Preview
My :twocents: Remember development money is tight, with the decrease in US volume and a possible longer and/or deeper contraction in the US economy GM will be burning cash quicker. So maybe (and just maybe) programming a refresh of the Excelle means the Delta II Chevrolet and Opel (and Saab?) are being pushed forward, with the Buick waiting a little longer. Product development and lauche dates have to be juggled between brands.

Just makes you wonder.....
I agree, and the explanation is quite simple: It's because cars like the Astra are mainstream cars in Europe but never were in the US, where the prevailing mentality is (no value judgement intended) bigger-is-better.

Randy Pausch reprising his Last Lecture
IIRC his Last Lecture was last September, but it didn't make the news here. To me the story is not about the end in itself, it's about keeping oneself going even if one is facing something definitive.

Game on for the 300 HP Solstice in 09
I think it's an E85 enabled version of the Saab 2.0L not the Ecotec. But I may be mistaken.

What's your beef with Toyota?
I remember buying a British car magazine just to read a half-page review of that car. As a kid in Lisbon, seeing tons of small cars, there was nothing more exciting than a big, fast, powerful car like that.

G8: Good To Go Fast
If they position it as a BMW competitor strictly performance-wise/dynamically, then it's not a dumb move. If the comparison is made in terms of luxury/tech goodies, then it's plain stupid. :rotflmao:

What's your beef with Toyota?
Shhhhhhh... don't tell them about the Omega/Carlton Lotus, or people here might start liking GME products. Then the sky will fall on our heads EDIT - Links to pictures. That car was one people my age drooled over when we were younger. Clicky 001 Clicky 002 Clicky 003 Clicky 004

Randy Pausch reprising his Last Lecture
I saw this on the news yesterday and today my brother emailed me this link of Mr. Randy Pausch reprising his Last Lecture on Oprah: http://video.stumbleupon.com/#p=ithct48cqw I had an uncle who passed away because of pancreatic cancer a few years ago. In my mind, Brave, Inspiring, Strong, and any other positive adjective that might come to mind is perfect to describe this gentleman. This video is a true tribute to Life, to enjoying and living every second of our Life as fully as we can.

March 2008 Sales: General Motors
I watch financial news bc of professional inclination (essentially on Bloomberg since the #$%&s that run my cable operator cut CNBC from the cable package), and from what I've been listening, I am getting hints that this might either be a longer or a deeper contraction in the US economy. Either way, the Detroit 3 will face a pretty heavy storm this year, and I'd be very surprised to see anything interesting coming from them both in terms of earnings and especially cash flows.
