IIRC GM is projecting around half of its volume growth for premium brands in Russia will be Saab. According to GM's press release regarding 2007 sales, Saab is doing well in Southern Europe and, most importantly, in Central and Eastern Europe, where future growth opportunites exist. I printed an article a few months ago about GM's growth in Russia. I have to look for the link when I get home and post it here.

my, my! what nice decals! of course since it offers 4-cyl and 6-cyl variants, it will be interesting to see how many non-hardcore-people (those who do not need to tow or haul heavy stuff all the time) this thing can attract.
