  1. Are those wheel covers the ones that appear on the Saturn website? They look GM should have offered the 5-spoke steel wheels some Astras have over here. This is an Astra Enjoy wheels (16 inch 5-spoke steel wheel with covers):
  2. Gut feeling tells me this is more 'Buick Centieme concept' than 'Buick Enclave concept', i.e, not a 90% production-ready concept... The main point here seems to be a preview of the Gen-V small block (rememeber how the SIDI thing was mentioned on the Delphi-GM-UAW memo that leaked?) paired to the 2-mode hybrid system and wrapped around NG GMC styling cues.
  3. The Astra is a good choice
  4. Glad you posted about b-pillars, as it reminded me of something: I want a hardtop MINI hatchback!!!
  5. Diesotto engine?
  6. Seeing the Saab at one of those shows would allow Opel to have precedence in showing the Insignia
  7. IMHO Cadillac should not have barges. Its role has been defined: to compete with the global luxury brands. Re the fuel issues, it's all a metter of cost. When there is a cost-effective solution it will gain acceptance and market share.
  8. I think it will be presented later in the year: the Insignia will have precedence, but then the 9-5. I'd like GM to roll out the new Saabs with logic: 9-5, 9-4, 9-3 and 9-1, but since the 9-3 got the new nose this year it will perhaps be the last one.
  9. The Portuguese version of that was hilarious: they seemed to pick the most retarded people as contestants! I like Babylon 5: seasons 1 through 4 are my favourites.
  10. I was replying in the context of what Toyota vs. GM wrote. I'd probably allow for some pricing overlap between the top-end CT5/CT6 models and the softer (one could call it 'base') DT7. My belief is the wallet-voting at that price point would favour the CT5/CT6 and the softer variant of the DT7 would die shortly if offered. If produced (God willing it won't and we'll get a kick-ass DT7 leaving the softer stuff to Buick) it would serve as nothing more than a transitional model, 'the last of the Cadillac land barges' if you will. Anyway, I'm more interested in how CAFE and CO2 regulations and gas prices will shape the industry over the next 15 to 20 years smk, a question: are you aware of the S320CDI and S350 models, both V6s?
  11. Saab had a rough month and the dinossaur 9-5 is taking a huge beating... the new 9-5 should be on sale now!
  12. Good! That would be suicide right now. I still think they should be the same design, with the same tech goodies/gadgets, but two flavours of driving characteristics: one plusher, the other sportier. btw, does whay does a traditional Zeta Cadillac mean for Buick? Now that the plan seems to be pushing Cadillac upmarket to stand next to the Germans, it wouldn't make much sense to take breathing room away from Buick, would it?
  13. IMO Ultra-Lux is different from a 7-Series competitor which (again IMO) is not an Ultra-Lux car. DTS/DT7 should be that single car, maybe offered in softer and sportier configurations.
  14. man 700 pages! yay!
  15. Next-Gen DTS/STS/DT7 and an ultra-lux sedan? I think an ultra-lux sedan might suicidal at this point. IMHO there's still stuff to fix in Cadillac before venturing into that segment.

  17. 2? interesting...

  22. My thoughts and my prayers are with you and your family, Frank. I lost my grandfather last year and I can tell you we're never ready even when their departure is to be expected (as it was with my grandfather). Remembering the good moments with loved ones that have departed is my coping strategy.

    Happy birthday

:rotflmao: Me too. One of the partners here looks just like that, the exceptions being having less hair and wearing a suit and tie.
