  1. that looks like a mobile phone model: something like Motorola G2.5
  2. Or maybe it means either Pontiac G2 or Pontiac G3.
  3. That'd be nice to see, but the Northstar would have to die first. Re the Coupe, it looks a little hatchback-like in profile, but I like the car! The rear end reminds me of last-gen-Eldorado-meets-Cien. I am expecting the rear end to be toned down (i.e., made less angular), but I'm hoping it won't.

*books flight to Stockholm* Tack! I'll check it out tonight. Well, he murdered 'The Unforgiven' but delivered an excelent performance of '...And Justice for All' last year in Lisbon. He can get his vocals back to proper Het standards as long as he does regular vocal exercises. If he can disciplin himself, he'll be fine. EDIT - Thx for the link Mustang
  5. Hmmmmm... A well designed and stylish car, full tech goodies integration, aimed at the generation entering the car market over the next 5 to 10 years (which has for the most part left the bigger-is-better mentality behind)... What a good idea!

Saab doesn't know just how much it wants me... yet... :AH-HA_wink: Now, since I've been doing my homework on Saab... is Jan Åke Jonsson based in Trollhättan, Göteborg, the GM Powertrain facility in Södertälje, or at the GM Norden office in Stockholm?
  7. Apparently there was a white Fiat 500 at CES: Click here
  8. IIRC the winning LaCrosse design is a Chinese design, so it isn't that surprising. I think the styling theme of the Enclave evolved well into the Riviera and I expect it to evolve just as well into the LaCrosse.
  9. Proto european might remeber this is a Holden and start smashing the car to bits
  10. Better looking than the Passat, which IMO is not that hard to accomplish. I wonder about pricing, though...

I don't even get to take my b-day off
  12. Fiat 500 is a cutie in person! Re the Citroën presence, I am intrigued... Testing the waters, maybe? I'd be very interested in knowing the reactions of NA people to Citroën cars after seeing them in person, so be sure to post your opinions!
  13. This reminds me of those 'Me Tarzan, you Jane' sentences... With clever advertising like this the most probable future slogan for Pontiac will be 'Pontiac is history'...

I'm sure I'm able to find a place with decent Portuguese food for lunch that day in case you decide to do a fly-in/fly-out :AH-HA_wink:

So, here's the big news... Machine Head and Metallica are playing Rock in Rio Lisboa, on June 5th 2008! These last few years haven't been bad concert-wise: Metallica played here 2004 and again last year, I saw Tool at Super Bock Super Rock in 2006... Not bad! :AH-HA_wink:
  16. Now there's an exciting car!
  17. I think it's the piano black finish on the centre console.
  18. Hmmm... If it got similar power/torque numbers with better fuel economy, why not? EDIT - it might have a side effect: heart attacks on some of c&g's enthusiasts
  19. I could be wrong, but I don't see a MINI-sized RWD model happening. I'd say use a small FWD platform, make sure the car have strong Saab and Scandinavian design cues (meaning practical and clean styling), and offer it as a hatchback and as a small convertible. Oh, and please call it Sonnet. A RWD 1-Series competitor for Cadillac (Cadillac AT1?) would be interesting. I don't really see the MINI and the 1-Series being cross shopped, and I don't think my Sonnet and an AT1 would be cross shopped I find this quote very interesting:
