  1. I agree 100%; very good post!
  2. Wasn't that site shelved?
  3. I forgot - Black Audi A7: photographs like sh!t, but it's an amazing-looking car live.
  4. So it seems we'll get a good looking Epica at last, instead of the current puke-fest. Good! The rear overhang does look lokger than the Insignia sedan's; could the Malibu/Epica be using a rear overhang similar (in length) to the Insignia wagon's? That'd mean something around 4900mm in length for the Malibu/Epica comapred to 4800mm-something for the Insignia/Regal.
  5. You wacky Europeans and your cars we don't get in the states. Well, you guys do get the Golf and the Verano is sort-of-an-Astra I did not include the Astra GTC as it will only debut towards the end of 2011.
  6. Ferrari 458 Italia
  7. Astra wagon or 5-door; Golf 3-door; Polo GTI; Megane wagon

  9. WTF
  10. If it was retail, it'd create the same reaction as when GM put a Buick badge on it. Referencing the euro branding of the Thetas, this is an Opel Antara not a Chevrolet Captiva. The Antara comes as a 5-seater only as the rear overhang is some 4 inches shorter than the Captiva's

I like the overall theme of the interior. But even without seeing the finished products, I am 1005 sure I'd pick the ATS over this car. EDIT - The wheels do look nice!
  12. I agree. In a sometimes strange way, it is amazing how despite all we know and all the influence we have over the World around us, we are still so vulnerable when these natural phenomena happen... I just pray for the victims and their families and hope the human dimension of this tragedy isn't too high.
  13. The MINI is giving some trouble and is close to 8 years old, so I am investigating both 1.4T automatic and 1.7 diesel Astras (both 5-door and wagon body styles - I like the wagon). I might change from go-kart driver to responsible driver after all
  14. The bumper is probably the same as the VUE's and the hood with the Chevrolet logo is from the model sold in Brazil, so it was probably the cheapest rebadge in history. It's a clever idea since they are keeping it as fleet-only.

I'm expecting a length around 4700mm which is right in line with the A4 (and I suspect the NG 3-Series). that joke never gets old
  16. I think this is what he was hired to do as GM had management stating in yearly reports that they had material weaknesses in internal controls over financial reporting for years (yet Old GM management apparently did nothing to remediate them). It's not that positive to perceieve a high rotation in these types of positions, but it is somehow expected at this stage: people may be brought in to do aim for some very specific goals. If these sort of news continues for another year or two, though, it may mean GM is having trouble retaining qualified staff and that would be worrying.

It will. I'd like to add though, that I reserve judgemnt until I see the production version: test cars painted in white and with loads of camo are meant to look not-so-good.

I was trying to picture a 3-series in those side shots, to know what to expect size-wise as I expect the cars to be pretty much aligned in overall size. The overall vibe I get is a bit of a shrunken CTS. Not bad as I prefer to have some continuity in theme and not have one model that is too edgy and then another that is too soft...
  19. Interesting! I had no idea the 1st color photography experiments streched that far back; always though of it as a 20th century thing.
  20. Fascinating!
