I think they're giving Buick an Astra sedan, not a Cruze. The sedan mule shot in Europe and ID-ed as a future Delta2 Buick has front quarter windows that look just like the Astra's.

A RWD/AWD flagship car for Cadillac would be the best case scenario. I hope it materializes instead of (despite of?...) the Epsilon 2 XTS.

I thought Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg was smarter than that... unfortunately he just comes around as another not-so-smart politician spewing crap for Germany's internal consuption... there has to be no formal 'option' embedded in the deal: it may just happen (not so innocently and decided behind the scenes from the start) that one of the investors decides to swap its stake in a privately held Opel for equity in a publicly traded New GM with a justification as simple as doing it for 'liquidity' purposes.

Great collection of pictures there! It is always great to see the classics, but I have a soft spot for two of the last Oldsmobiles: the Aurora (especially the 2nd generation) and the Intrigue. Glad there were a few of those at the meet.

Personally, I would have kept the Invicta name. Why name your concept after a real car (more, a name from Buick's own history), only to change the name to something else?

Unique, yes. Interesting... not so much IMHO. The sketches belw the pic are interesting, but GM would never have allowed a production car to have such large wheels and ride height. Unfortunately any G6 would come up short in the EXCITEMENT!!!!!eleventy billion!!!1!!!!1!! department, with the notable exception of the silver concept G6. Other impressions: The GMC looked very cool! That STS design was hideous, but some of those Cadillac illustrations and models are very cool!
