  1. I'll reserve final judgment for a real photo. One thing is for certain, that pizza-slice shaped black out panel on the C-pillar looks both cheap and ugly.
  2. Japanese cars, with their THINNER sheet-metal are MUCH more prone to rot-through, & as such I hate to disagree but I def. see WAY more Japanese cars with fist-sized rust holes in the rockers/rear 1/4s and doors. Again, all things being equal. model year and such esp. Unfortunately your poor high-miliage Shadow is not a good example of a solid domestic.
  3. Are you talking to ME or the 70% or so of this forum that is constantly getting their panties in a bunch over the number of cup holders in a FWD, unibody crossover/SUV or the grain/texture of the door panels & other idiotic qualities like opaque vs. matte instrumentation needles. I could care less about most of the attributes you guys consider "important" and just because I'm in the minority does NOT mean my opinion is any less valid. P.S. Take a joke.
  4. Camino: I know, it truly is a legendary ride but I'd much rather have a daily driver (donlt have to keep it shrink wrapped) 1968 Firebird hardtop with a twin-turbo, FI 400 & 6-speed manual. Navy blue with a sky blue/silver Phoenix on the hood an all white leather interior.... perhaps a custom IRS & hidden roll cage that would NOT involve a B-pillar section. See, this '91 FH is awesome but it's so damn cool and rare that you'd be an a$$hole to race, or even drive it hard, which is the WHOLE point of spending too much $ on a muscle car.
  5. Agreed, as of 2008 it takes the cake... but just wait a few years & Toyopets will have DRIVE-BY-WIRE brakes and steering. Don't laugh, it's probably true.
  6. I, was with you there for a while, I can understand a few of those... but the 1991 Pontiac Bonnneville SSE? I'd crush three dozen of those to save one '91 Pontiac Firebird 2.8 liter V6.
  7. I like your idea Camino, but I still say dump SAAB & Saturn. Drop those two brands like a sack of potatoes.
  8. Sux dooode, ....modern electronics are such a pain in the rump.
  9. A FWD, Unibody 198X Chrysler minivan is not a "BUS" A RWD, BOF, 6 foot stretch, 1990 Chevrolet Suburban can be referred to as a "BUS"
  10. I know rare Firehawks are your Holy Grail Camino but I'd rather have a '73 Trans Am 455SD for this kind of money. Also: That seller is a bit full of himself, this Hawk may be faster & quicker than a stock GNX but IMHO will never be worth more money lbs. per lbs. (or as he says more desirable)
  11. Hhahhahaha, PERKY is right.
  12. Keep your friends close & your enemies CLOSER.
  13. http://nh.craigslist.org/car/713612695.html
  14. Hahaha, Linda Vaughn was a classy lady back in 1969. Gotta love Hurst (products)!
  15. Typical. SNAFU
  16. That is the epitome of SEXY! And the chick is not bad either.
  17. Pre-WWII NO FORDS, unless they're very cheap and unique. (all original, brass-era Model T: runs, drives $3000 ...maybe, ) (1932 highboy with a SBC and $20,000 worth of go-fast goodies for $40,000 = even if I had that kind of money, NO WAY) Post WWII RWD = an absolute MUST in all but some VERY rare exceptions... (Razorback? Bustleback? Cheap '68 Toronado?) B-pillars: BIG turnoff... I'm getting very bored/tired of sedans (2 or 4 dr.) Body On Frame construction: strongly preferred V16, V12, V8, I6 or flat 6/4 are the only motors I gravitate to...
  18. Agreed about Zeta. And Oldsmoboi: I only owned my '94 Buick R.E. for a couple months but it was indeed amazing to me how much big, bulky $#it you could cram in that huge, wide cargo area. Your crazy custom nose job is something that would have made me REALLY fall in love with my '94, I only got rid of it cause I did not have the time or $ to put in a new trans. which the beat to $h! 120K+ mile car needed badly.
  19. Right! I have read it many a time and it's almost "Consumer Reports bird-cage-liner worthy" IMO.
  20. Fu$%in' right! I'm tryin' REAL hard but I CAN NOT think of one other van that can be described as "cool" or "exciting". This is the ONE & only anomaly as far as non-sleep inducing vans go.
  21. That's not funny, cause it's TRUE!
  22. Driving a Sienna is a sure-fire way of preventing pregnancy. Most chicks I know would rather get skull-F@%$ed by a mullet head driving a Ford Fairmont wagon than ever set foot in a minivan, Toyo-DUR or not. (my wife, my ex, XP's G/F, SP's G/F and 95% of their girlie-friends HATE minivans)
  23. With all due respect... (I know D.F..... stow-n-go, SUV storage/cargo capacity w/out sucktastic-MPGs etc.) The minivan can die a quick death. If I ever needed to get a van it would MOST certainly have a SBC driving the REAR wheels, it would probably have a black paint job w/ a big red hockey stick stripe, a spoiler on the roof & a C.B. radio. I don wanna hea' no jibba-jabba 'bout Front Wheel Drive, SUCKA!
  24. Oh, nad as far as the intake leak... run thick oil, check it regularly and you can put off that expensive repair. Intake leaks on the 3.1 liter V6s are NOTHING compared to the intake leak in my poor '97 STS's northstar... due to the bonehead who owned it before me: he used regular oil in a car that came from the factory with Mobil1 synthetic, that's a BAD idea. Cost me almost as much to keep oil in that car as it did to gas it up, mile/mile. Of course that's when gas was $1.79/gal for premium!
