  1. Yeah, from what I understand at WOT an electric huffer will actually suffocate your car. Turbos & crank/belt driven superchargers generate enough boost to rip an electric blower into pieces. I was tempted to buy one when I was a kid and had my 1987 Cougar XR7 but then I researched it and thought against it.
  2. I'd much rather have a SRT-4, Crown Vic or even the Mariner than a Hon-Duh. I'd say "good luck" but I'm not a very good liar. Seriously.
  3. The things you miss when absent from C&G for a few days.
  4. Fly: That thing is wild. XP: You have an interesting point. Z28: I am desperately trying to sell my Super 88 so that I can buy the above mentioned white two-door sedan. My persistance is a part of the reason why I have not been on here much as of late. I sent out my fuel pump to be rebuilt last week and as of Friday it's done. Now the car can be listed as "in running condition" again so if I exhaust Craiglist & the "WantAd" I'll throw it on eBay in April. Mr. Lawrence (owner of 59 LeSabre) told me I have at least until the first week of April. If it is possible to buy that LeSabre I will pull it off somehow.
  5. That's an insult to Geo. I'd rather have a 1990 Storm GSi than some crappy Kia. Now if the Kia was RWD and/or RWD-biased AW then it would be a step in the right direction.
  6. It seems these days Toyota can't even have an executive fart without the press featuring an article about it.
  7. Wow... sorry to hear that.
  8. Yeah... this happens all the time. Dealerships are not exactly known for their attention to detail when it comesto advertising.
  9. First off, the semi-famous 1983 Datsun Maxima Diesel that was featured in Car & Drivers' diesel beater article just about a year ago. If this car had a 5-speed instead of an automatic I'd buy it without a doubt!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/83-Datsun-M...1QQcmdZViewItem Next up is a 1959 Pontiac Catalina Four Door Sedan. Nice two-tone. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NICE-1959-P...1QQcmdZViewItem 1959 Dodge Coronet Royal (too bad it's a 4dr post) I love the two-tone red/black, the red/black/white interior, square steering wheel and most of all those old-school cool red steelies with dog-dish caps & trim rings. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1959-Dodge-...1QQcmdZViewItem This one is a 1959 two-door Hardtop. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1959-Dodge-...1QQcmdZViewItem 1960 Plymouth Fury Ragtop... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1960-Plymou...1QQcmdZViewItem 1961 Cadillac 4dr hardtop... love the black steel roof on a white car. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1961-CADILL...1QQcmdZViewItem This is just gross.... what a horrible thing to do to a 1949 Cadillac!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1949-CADILL...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1949-CADILL...1QQcmdZViewItem
  10. No break for me, I wish I was still in college... I have so many things on the agenda for the next 2 weeks It's making me dizzy just thinking about. Most of them are either related to or somehow involving getting my Super 88 sold and buying that 1959 Buick I have been talking about for over a month now. Also I am still working on the T.W.C.C. trivia final. And then there's last night snow...
  11. Cars are in my blood. I thought it was enviromental for years but then even my grandmother said that it was genetic or something. As soon as I could stand up in my crib as an infant I was staring out the window at passing cars. Cars are the coolest things in the world as far as stuff that: 1. does not fly 2. does not have a p#$$y/breasts
  12. You are going to pay more for one WHEEL than I payed for my Datsun? Dude.... if you have $2000 to burn why not buy a better car instead of spending your money on something as silly as rims. Most of my "rims" have been bought at Holland's Junkyard for $5 each with semi-decent rubber. To each his own I guess. I think spending anything more than $200 for a pair of wheels is idiotic. Esp. when they will make you car handle like crap, stop much worse and accelerate slower. And then to make matters worse they'll be stolen in about 2.5 weeks.
  13. Dodgefan: I got a phonecall from XP715 about 2 weeks ago when that car came into Lowell Used. He called me all in a panic and told me to use my connections to save that Imapala since the guy @ the junkyard said to XP that "it's worht more parted out than together" I made a couple phone calls and did my best. Last I heard my buddy Kenny was going to check the car out since he's in the wholesale business. He's in a much better postion to save the car than I am. Wish I had the time ot go check it out in person.
  14. Targa
  15. Funny stuff... looks like it's from Malcom in the Middle... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2...90424&hl=en Yamaha bike stupidity, random Google find and it happens to include a 1959 Dodge in Europe towards the end. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3...53251&hl=en
  16. Yeah... mentioned the Camaro well before that. This kid's idea ofd a cool car is a Civic or Integra. The owner, my boss is from Singapore so I expected she drove the Toyota Sienna that was parked outside or perhaps the Rav4 that was in the parking lot, turns out she drives a navy blue Cadillac SRX (V6). Says she loves it.
  17. LOL I knew that was coming... The LX570 is not a shocking concept.
  18. Even if "it" has a vagina I wouldn't screw it with Croc's dong & Satty pushing.
  19. I've got a gig doing semi-full time work at the local Sign*A*Rama. First official day was yesterday. We're laying out the vinyl for a 15 foot wide sign for a Vietnamese restaurant. Funny, the place is called "Pho' 88 Vietnamese Cusine" (I guess 88 is a lucky number in Vietnam) anyway we're listening to Rock 101 and G&R comes on... "Sweet Child" which is my all time favorite BTW.... anyway I say under my breath something like "sweet it's Guns & Roses" Here's the funny part, the asian guy who works with me is amazed that I LIKE G&R so I'm like yeah... who didn't like G&R in the late 80s early 90s??? I still love G&R. So his next question to me, with a stone cold serious face: Did you ever have a Mullett? I was like uhhh... not in this lifetime. I also proceded to tell him that not all people who listen to 70s & 80s Rock are brainless hicks.
  20. Agreed! With the kind of cars I drive snow tires are not a neccessity but if you have a RWD Porsche or a BMW of some sort with 11" wide tires a set of snow tires will allow them to bite where the car's perf. oriented pirellis might not be the best choice for 18" of snow. I'd love to have an Acura NSX for a winter beater... just to see people cringe as a set of snow tires on steelies spray salt, slush and sand all over the rear quarters. Maybe a plow truck would T-bone the car & I'd get KBB on it. Then I'd buy it back from the insurace co. & have it crushed by a Junkyard & use the aluminum cube for a coffee table.
  21. Yeah... Toyota is about as American as the Mitshubishi Zero scap metal that's sitting at the bottom of Pearl Harbor. Toyota is a lot like Disco, it peeked in the 1970s and now in 2007 it's in poor taste and out of style. Never had any substance either.
  22. IN the end it's not about Ford vs. Chevy anymore... Both the blue oval and Bow Tie are great cars for the $$$. It's about USA versus the Japanese now. It's about f%*king Toyota, Lexus, Scion, Honda & Acura now. I have nothing against a Charger SRT8 or a Mustang GT.
