  1. Darn, sorry. It's hard enough tryting to coordinate with XP & SP. I think we're going to hold these Scavenger Hunts every 1/4 or so. Pretty Much every season, this is the Winter one, then we'll have one in the spring (April?) one in the summer (July) and so on... Anyone else in the N.E. interested? ....& BTW, somethime this summer I want to do a T.W./C&G "BBBQ" the extra B is for BYOBB and the other extra B is for Bustleback! the official FWD car of T!@ht Wh1p$!
  2. I'll take this with a grain of salt. It would be cool if that conversation actually happened, but i'm not so sure. Either way GM is finally in a renaisance of sorts!
  3. What? Who?
  4. Keep it a Pontiac, it's not broke, why fix it?
  5. Not the photo I'm thinking of but it's actually BETTER quality. If I could somehow track this car down and buy it I'd never touch a thing on it... exept for maybe painting the rocket & "vapor trail" in white. I knew it was up norht somewhere, I thought Maine or Vermont but it was CANADA, eh!
  6. Yup.... of all the 1958 GMs Pontiac has always been my favorite. I want the red 1958 Bonneville Safari that pops up on Google searches quite often. It has the drop down railroad axles since it was used for year by some R.R. maintenance crews IIRC....
  7. Yeah. SnosAGGE is a funny dude who can take a joke. Why do we give this poor kid such a hard time? Surely it's not because he thoughtnhe had a Gen.III 3800 when it was just a Series II... right?
  8. WHO: The Charter Members of T.W.s (68panther, XP715 & SpeedingPenguin) & anyone else from T.W./C&G WHERE: New England Area, start & end points will be T.W. H.Q. in 01824 WHEN: Saturday, February 3rd 2007. The plan is a six hour window: 8:00am to 2:00pm WHY: Why not? Grab a digital camera, top off your gas tank & let's hit the road! THE CHALLENGE: Be the one to score the most points & win the game by photographing as many things on the Scavenger Hunt list as possible. The original list was written up in July of 2006 and has been updated & expanded several times since then. An official, final version will be posted here just before the contest begins probably next Friday night. Here's a few examples of things that MIGHT be on the list: 1. Any Cadillac with a mismatched body panel (i.e. Blue Bustleback w/ white door) 2. Water tower shaped like a UFO 3. Toyota Prius with a missing hubcap, broken off side mirror or smashed windshield. 4. Colapsed Bridge 5. Japanese car with a C.B. anteana . So basically at 8:00am we all depart with our individual digital camera's empty memory cards. There is NO limitation to where you can travel or what means of transportation you use. If you want to head straight out west via Rt.2 then that's fine, or if you want to drive all over Boston Proper or Maine or R.I. that's fine so long as you get back in time. In other words, theoretically you can only drive out about 175 miles away assuming 2.5 hours in one direction averaging 70 miles an hour, and then you have to double back. We reconvene at 1:00pm with our (full?) digital cameras of as many photos as we could find. Different items will be worth varying points. For instance, a Cordoba T-top with a Rusty Jones sticker might be worth 100 points whereas a photo of a Camry w/ a parking ticket will only be worth 5 points. Then again a 1980s Diesel Oldsmobile with white walls, curb feelers & a vanity plate might be worth 1,000,000 points. There will be several CR4ZY "instant winner" items on the list. The last one is not a real example but it's close. Also: some HUGE event caught on camera, like a Prius on fire or the aftermath of a plane crash will be worth about 100,000 points as to be determined by the Validation commitee, which consists of the Charter Members. More details to follow
  9. Ahh. F it, at least you got hauling capability, a manual trans & RWD.
  10. Whichever you prefer.
  11. It would be so cool if a more compact version (height wise) of the Atlas 6 made it into the base Camaro. Too bad This will probably not happen. I wish GM developed an Ecotec based I6, 3.0 liters or even if it was destroked to 2.8 liters but KEEP it an INLINE six. like a modern day 240Z or an affordable M3. Inline sixes are soooo much better than V6s. V-motors are for 12 and more cylinders. I say we go back to I8s even.
  12. I'm with O.B. and Balthazar. Although I'm not a big fan of the Thunderbird... love the first three generation stylistically but I'm just not into them enough to want to buy one ever. Thanks for keeping this thread alive, nice to just click open a thread &look at classics for once, instead of being the one to post them all myself. Now how about some photos of 1959 Pontiacs...?
  13. This is the final straw on the camel's back. I'm registering and making my own American classic car website. While I'm at it I'm going to take Tight Whips to the next level.
  14. Don't forget KBB is ridiculously HIGH. If you got KBB for your trade in consider yourself VERY lucky. If you PAYED KBB for a car you bought you just got screwed! KBB on STS when I bought it was over $12,000 I payed $7900 KBB on Infiniti when be bought it was like $$11,400 IIRC, we payed $7500
  15. P.S. Reg: that is absolutely disgusting, I'll have to avoid Mcdonald's for a while, at least until I forget that factoid.
  16. The article is misleading... I'm pretty effin sure the Yaris and Tundra do NOT share firewalls. They're saying they only have one firewall and width is the only variable. C'mon. that's retarded. As if the Prius & Lexus LS430 have the same mount points for all the hardware. Just more Toyota Koolaid!
  17. Happy Birthday to you You smell like a shoe You look like a monkey & you smell like one too! All joking aside have a great one guys!
  18. That is disgusting. Lowes is not great either though... they're a very uptight organization. My friend handled their account at her AD agency in NY, NY & I guess they have a stick up their @$$. They did not want their comercials shown durring and show on TV involving risque' topics like pre-marital sex, homosexuality etc... So I guess shows like Will & Grace and (their example) Friends are NOT WHOLESOME enoug for their organzation. I think both of those shows suck along with 90% of today's TV but I would not go out of my way to reward people for being so damn uptight.
  19. Everyone is here is making some good points But as NOS just pointed out this truck is no bargain.
  20. Damn I love the smel of a fresh H.W. car. You know when you crack open the blister pack and it rolls out onto your palm for the first time and you can smell the fresh pain & plastic. Kudos to H.W. for keeping all 4 windows on the Camaro DOWN!
  21. I wish I could go...
  22. general dissent

    NOSome!

Hey Satty: How's the little one doing BTW?
  24. Tires have always been scented. They smell like tires. That's what tires are supposed to smell like. I'm thinking now that they given us the lavender scented tire they'll make a special pill for Toyota & Honda executives, you swallow the pill before you go to the crapper and it makes your feces smell like roses.
  25. Doooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo it!!! C'mon Bro, this car has your name written ALL over it.
