What a creampuff... BTW if you look up 1979 Coupe DeVille and /or "Big Red" on this site in the search engine you'll see another gorgeous (but not as mint) red caddy with a white leather interior. Love the new avatar. These really were the best looking Cadillac Eldorados since the '67 Razorbacks.

GM, Renault and Nissan Issue Joint Statement
Sixty8panther replied to Variance's topic in General Motors
It's a two edged sword. For what it's worth I think most of you are aware that I regard Nissan to be the least lame of the Japanese car manufacturers. -
Well, I'm trying this new thing called "don't freak out, it's just the internet" I'm still hoping his heart is in the right place.

Blame the Japanese for Front wheel drive
Sixty8panther replied to cimastain's topic in Site News and Feedback
FWD sucks a$$, very true... most Japanese cars suck, also true. But Japan is no more responsible for FWD than GM. There were plenty of RWD cars from Japan when GM was going mental over every god damn car haivng to be FWD in the early to mid 1980s. Thank the J-body, E-body, W-body, N-body... and many other GM, Mopar & Ford cars for bringing us mass FWD. I will agree that moreso than the Americans Japanese cars with RWD tend to be less obtainable. The Japanese mentality of RWD is either you pay $40,000 for a Lexus or Infiniti or you can go f&ck yourself in a FWD HonDUH. -
I think Cimastain's Fusion is firing on 2.5 cylinders.

Fall, no contest there. I just wish that the fall in New England laster from like Sept. to March with a brief intermission for some snow on December 24th, 25th & Jan. 1st.

Thread #40 This car's styling incorporated Virgil Exner's "Forward Look". It came in three series: Coronet, Royal & Custom Royal. Two tone paint jobs were used to accentuate the tail fins. The emblem inside the front grill was an embossed Knight's helmet. As in a Knight in Armor. Give us the year & make.

I ucfking hate you! OF all the FWD cars I hate, the 79-85 ElDorado Biaritz, along with the Bustleback Sevilles are not among them. The motor is mounteed longitudinaly and the cars have a billion times more style and design originality than 95% of cars from that same era. Plus you've got the "Robert DeNiro in Casino Edition" with the metal plate under driver's seat... Seriously I'm jelaous, that's a gorgeous car! Congrats.

O.B. slams one out of the ball park!

I always run "DRLs" even though none of my cars have them. Even driving my white Super 88 at high noon in July I think better safe than sorry. Visibiity to other drivers on the road is never a bad thing. One of my biggest pet peeves is a beige or silver car driving durring dusk with rain and NO lights what so ever. If hey do not even have their parkig lights on I think they deserve a BIG FAT TICKET! I beleive strongly in DRLs but in 99% of other cases of regulation I'm against it 100%.

Damn, only thing cooler than owning that CTS is haivng the state of Florida give you a license plate that starts with "V16".... I'd take that as a sign from God and trade that 2006 in on a 1932 Dual Cowl Phaeton with a twin-8.

Hmmm... every once in a while I think it'd be super cool to have a TT 3800 powerplant in my eventual '59 Buick.
