In need of a new car
Look through the Want-Ad. It's a much better resource for buying a cheap used car than eBay. I'm just not into FWD cars at ALL, and add an automatic trans & I'm very much turned off. Why not at least look into something more sporty or a manual trans, if not RWD?

Kid + New Mustang + Manual Transmission = ???
Blame the father... that was his bad. Some 14 year old kid who is ignorant about a manual transmission should NOT be given the keys to a car, esp. not a musclecar. He was obviously clueless about driving a car, let alone a stick.

I think an official T!GH+ W#1P$ roadtrip to ILL, or at least half way or so will happen someday in the not so distant future, perhaps Deeee-troit.

Vintage Brochures
The Concours 2-door's 4" thick B-pillar is exactly 4" thicker than all the cool 1960s Chevrolet 2dr. cars that I'm into. Cool stuff though.

bought Cars...
I wish I could drive out to ILL to hang out and watch "Cars". At this point if I had the time and gas money I'd drive out the Super 88... I've already driven 2200 miles in it without one problem. Well, once I drove over a bad pothole and the negative cable on the battery came loose & the car stalled out but that was my fault for not tightening it down enough. I got her with 24,800 and now she's got over 27,000. You know I just might drive the Super out to Hershey next year if I still have not flipped her for a 1959 Buick.

Correct! Any 1st gen. F-body can exchange windshields with another one so long as they're both ragtops or both hardtops... the convertible 1st gen. F-body's windshield was cut down a few inches as compared to the hardtop's. Not very noticable.

Balthazar got a dozen correct... Too bad the questions number a baker's dozen. Y.D. got this same question wrong.

T1G#T WH!P$ TROPHY TRIVIA
You've got a few incorrect answers there Y.D. For what it's worth you are 100% correct about the Bustle Back Sevilles... they were made from 1980-1985. That was what you might call a "keystroke error" on my part.

unfortunate names
About three months ago durring a late night session of an official TIGHT WHIPS meeting back in Tyngsboro I was "smashed" & XP & SP had me make a couple prank phone calls... the only one I remember is asking some random lady out of the phonebook (Anita Bath) at like 1:30am "Do you really need a bath...?" She hung up.

The flathead V16 Cadillac motors of the early 1930s were redesigned as 60 degree OHVs in the late 1930s. 2. If I needed a windshield for a 1969 Camaro hardtop I could get a used one out of a 1968 Firebird convertible. 3. The 1984 Pontiac Fiero shared some front suspension components with the Pontiac T1000. 4. 2007 Ford Crown Victorias share their basic architecture with 1978 Ford Fairmonts. 5. Access to the spare tire on the Honda Ridgeline "pickup" in unrestricted & convenient even when the bed is full of cargo. 6. The 1980-1986 Cadillac Bustle Back has a longitudinally mounted motor just like every single Cadillac prior to 1982. 7. Mind boggling jumps
Cool. Bone crunching and often painful but still cool.
-
RWD G6 rumor?
Yes... Pontiac SHOULD go 100% RWD! (with AWD optional but still REAR biased)
-
Pontiac Fiero $800
Do it! Fieros are still cool... they're still the only PORDUCTION car from GM ever with a mid-engined setup.

unfortunate names
OCN: Uou stole my thread idea! No seriously as some of you know I come inot contact with THOUSANDS of names between my full time and part time job so I have a whole list going... I've got about 300 or so written down that are funny, some in a raunchy or horrible way otehrs that just have a funny ring to them or rhyme. Here's some of my top favorites, these are 100% REAL names: (off the top of my head, the list is at home) - Anal Bahts - Oral Plummer - Han Fuk - Harry Bush (I've run into more than one) - Harry Ball Jr. [he's a Junior so you KNOW there's TWO Harry Balls] (a friend of a friend...) and a really cool name that I think is BOSS: - Thomas Wackerfuss
-
Did OJ do it? (You know what)
I can not beleive that O.J. has not been killed by a "stray" bullet, random car accident or perhaps a runnaway golf cart. I wish he just up and died or crawled into a hole and STFU. He's a waste of sperm & oxygen.

This Really Burns My @$$
If Datsun 510 were such junk why did they kick BMWs butt in racing and become cult classics. Yes, I agree that compared to a 1968 GTO the Datsun 510 is almost worthless but then again I'd crush and melt down every Japanese car made in the past two decades to save just ONE 1970 Nissan Bluebird (510) Hardtop SSS. Japanese cars peeked in the late '70s in terms of fun factor, value, variety, originality & coolness. Late 1970s Japanese cars were true to their promisse, cheap econoboxes that afforded average quality, good MPG & decent bang for the buck while still offering a few cool styling elements, even if they were all ripped off late 60s American cars. I have a soft spot for many of those cheap-steel death traps, esp. the hardtop ones. True affordable RWD in a cute package.

WI Couple Donates $1.3M to Corvette Museum
It's their right to donate to whatever they want... it IS a free country after all. It may not be as comendable as feeding kids in Africa but that's the choice they made. If I was a millionare I'd be very carefull about what "charity" I'd donate to... so many of times you hear of how for every $1 you donate $0.79 goes to "overhead".
