I like '65 Impala fasback/hardtops better... the round tail lights are awesome. That being said this '66 is sex on wheels.

My Jack-O-Lantern for 2008. I carved it last week, that way it should survive until Halloween. I even made a special tool by grinding down a baby-screw driver and filing it down into a saw. This year I gave Sofia an orange Sharpie marker and had her sketch out her own design on a pumpkin, after which I carved it with her pointing out the lines and giving me "artistic direction" the whole time. Kids are so much fun. Some days she makes me want to pull my hair out but overall she's a great little girl. Also, we went apple picking two weeks ago, including a hayride, petting zoo and all that fun stuff.

Apparently this old beat up, rusted Buick that looks as if it survived two tours of duty in Afghanistan and two dozen hailstorms is mistaken for a 9C1 Caprice quite often, & I get asked all the time by kids and adults if it IS or less often, WAS a Police car.

GM Extends Idling Of Wilmington Assembly

I'd rather see GM die than sell a bunch of pathetic garbage and tarnish great names like Pontiac, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC and Buick. Your love of the Prius betrays you as an "armchair" enthusiast at best. -

O.B. Stop being stupid... we all know the Cadillac variant will be called "Seville Utilizing Korean Structure" or SUKS for short. The Caprice you speak of has been renamed by GM-E, it will now be called Malibu-Barbie. Along with the exciting 1.2 liter four cylinder motor there will be a 1.5 liter SS variant. This will include a quick-shifting 6-speed AUTOMATIC for extra "sporty factor" -

So now you too subscribe to PCS's theory of Pontiac being useless? Great. I left Reg's "time to bash Chrysler" thread where you were enthusiastically ripping the LX cars apart, despite them being one of the greatest affordable products for enthusiasts available in the past few decades! Last time I checked the all-mighty Toyopet is giving out rebates and (UNHEARD OF!) 0% financing. All the newspapers are proclaiming headlines of a world depression the likes of which crippled the economies of the mightiest nations & became the catalyst for WWII. But somehow this turns into the "Solstice Sux" and "Pontiac is irrelevant" -
Oh where oh where has my Dodgefan gone

We talked recently. They might stay in Taxachusetts but they (him & Jess, his g/f) might move back out to the midwest for the cheaper living expenses and more plentiful jobs. -
My daughter will be 5 in three months. When she was born one of my daily drivers was a 1997 STS. The roofline on those Cadillacs is low and sexy, but I'm not a crybaby pansy and I got her in and out without it being the end of the world. P.S. What Toyota & Honda exactly did the buyer of the 1994-96 Impala SS cross-shop? Enjoy all that headroom in the Prius.

You know the whole world has gone mad...

Plenty. An average Mercedes big body lives to see a half million miles in Europe, here in the states people junk them t 200,000 or 300,000 miles because of something stupid like maybe they do not feel it is worth doing a brake job or new shocks. Sure the parts are slightly more expensive, but you get what you pay for and lets face it: the labor is always the bulk of a repair cost, and since the 500SEC is RWD most repairs I can manage myself. -

Life is too short to eat Hot Dogs all the time. Esp. when Filet Mignon and Lobster is so damn cheap! -
I'm pretty sure most muscle car buyers are not going to evaluate the car based on "rear seat head room". That's as absurd as me talking about the lack of ground clearance and non-locking rear axle in a Saturn Vue. Sure many 3.5 Chargers are just bought to be family sedans, and the back seat is for the KIDS! You want headroom? The Toyota Corolla, with the center of gravity of a London double decker bus, has plenty.

Yes.... I agree. The Chrysler 300 and Charger will go down in history as absolute smash hits in a world of mediocrity and compromise! NEVER in a million years will I consider buying a FWD Impala, SS or not, V8 or not, never will I ever buy a Ford 500 (even the SHO) or some FWD modern Cadillac (been there done that) maybe for my wife, NOT for me. But a Chrysler 300 and or the (ALSO!) polarizing Cadillac CTS will def. be in my driveway if I live long enough to afford a nice used one. You wanna talk polarizing designs?!?!? In the early 1950s we had the WILD radical Buick Skyark & Chevy Corvette. In the late 1950s we had the over-the-top '59 Cadillac, Buick, Pontiac, Chevy... MANY people thought the '63 Corvette split window was too much! They bought Falcons, Fairlanes, Country Squires & Thunderbirds... Then in 1971 I bet many thought the Riviera was hideous. See where I'm going with this? No one remembers the bred ad butter (make sure to not OFFEND anyone crap) The Chrysler 300 sid F**K YOU! to convention in the process it won recognition graced magazine covers the world wide, has had MORE die cast models of it cast in its OWN TIME than any other vehicle in recent memory w/ the exception of the Corvette and Escalade. Trying to piss all over Chrysler's success of the 300 is a lot like spitting in the wind. Let me say something here right now. Overall GM is my one, true, first and only LOVE. BUT Chrysler is very close to my heart. The Viper, RWD cars, Cummins powered Rams and other interesting products like the neon-SRT4 have redeemed them, after years of mediocrity they are back in the saddle.

My calendar, currently hanging on my wall ENDS on Dec. 31st. of 2008. :AH-HA_wink: - - - -
Three numbers. And it's bigger than the car that spawned that particular Lada cousin.
-
Plenty of German cars sold in the USA have rear fog lights. Almost all Audis from the past two decades have rear fog lights, Porsche, my Mercedes has 'em, as did our old 123.
-
HINT: The Lada O.B. is thinking of had an Italian Mother. :AH-HA_wink:
-
Datsuns & Nissans I know.... I've owned TWO 810 Datsun sedans remember... This one stumped me but O.B. is very warm.
-
If I ever get a tattoo... the idea is growing on me by the day, it will almost certainly be something related to the 452 cubic inch V16 Cadillacs of the early 1930s. And then eventually my kids' names.

Regardless of your quarrel (spare me the details) he left C&G... why hold such a grudge that you FOLLOW him to another forum? That seems a bit over the top, immature and frankly, who has that kind of time?!
-
Iron duke = half of a 389. They have potential. Headers, carb., hi-perf. heads, forged rods....

I think I can honestly say that I've been banned from C&G (always temp.) more times than any surviving member... prob. four or five times. Usually I deserved it. Although that does not make the other party innocent. And we all know there are a few "instigators" who post here quite frequently. But then again the hole banning system of rule enforcement has gone out the window as of two, three years ago. carbiz: sounds like you're better off NOT posting on that forum anyway.

You had me until the "four cylinder only" part. Otherwise

As a few of you know, I've got some artwork, well mostly photography on " DeviantArt.com " as does Dodgefan BTW. I was introduced to the site by a friend of a friend a few years back, if you wanna see some of my crappy, mostly automotive related, photography you can check it out: ------sixty8panther------> http://sixty8panther.deviantart.com/ But 'nuff 'bout that. Your assignment is to identify the car in this photo: I have a few guesses but nothing solid. BTW, here's he link to the artist's post: http://shadowless911.deviantart.com/art/Bu...Please-99641953

Yes! I drive our 500SEC quite often even though it's Julie's car & I gotta tell you, it may have cost double what a GM 2-door luxury coupe did in 1984 but in this case it was worth it. The whole car is built, acts, responds and drives as if it had 50,000 miles, not almost 200K. The doors, trunk, sunroof, everything opens and shuts like a brand new Cadillac. The unusually high rocker panels that help to strengthen (fu*k your B-pillars!) the chassis and meet the door for extra support in a side impact & even the firm but well sculpted seats... The more I drive this car the more I want to buy Julie a mid 1980s to early 1990s Mercedes E-wagon and use the Benz for my driver.
