  1. [CRTL][F] "G8 GT" --no matches-- *yawn*
  2. If things get bad enough, (I hope to God I'm wrong here) it would take a lot less than that.... thank God (existent or not) for the second amendment, because we as Americans need it more than ever. Thanks to big brother and many of the bizarre twists and turns of the past two decades, we just might see an age when the government get so corrupt/out of touch that only some horrific bloodshed will put us back on course. While that would be insanely tragic it's a lesser evil than the current "sit back and just say F*** it attitude" of the typical American. Somehow, sometime, somewhere... probably not in our lifetime but in the not to distant future, the damn has to break. Either it will be WWIII, a second civil war, or civil uprising, or else.... the USA will, just as Rome did 17-odd centuries ago, fall from the greatest power in the world to a mere has been.
  3. Weak Mid-Cycle Refresh at best.
  4. I'm shocked that the higher ups at Toyopet have not done away wit the pigsnout.... who thinks it looks anything other than hideous, although at least it matches the rest of that ugly steaming pile of garbage.
  5. ....I'll try to stick to the title. As most of you might have noticed I've been consciously staying away from most of the political threads, I agreed with O.B.s thread about how futile & damaging they are to the C&G community. but here's a quick thought. Sometimes things seem clearer at 4:00am I've been talking in length with a friend from UPS during our breaks, about the err of our two party system. And then this A.M., at about 4:00am it HIT me. You wanna know the TRUE reason WHY there is a TWO PARTY SYSTEM in the USA? Divide and conquer. While most reasonable, self respecting Americans agree about the important issues, or at least agree to agree, the two party system keeps/makes the rich richer, the powerful in control and the masses bickering over bread crumbs instead of paying attention to the REAL issues. I realize that is a gross oversimplification, but I truly believe there is something to this.
  6. BTW, I'm an idiot and was over-tired last night when I posted that. Daimler Benz made the inverted V12 in the Bf/Me 109s.
  7. It's sometimes important to have a tangible mile marker for a loss of this magnitude. About 15 years ago my father's father passed away. Died of Alzheimer's, and i still think he was the greatest human being I have ever kown. The patience of a Saint, the work ethic of a horse, heart of gold. You (Camino) get to treasure your dad's pre-war classic (Dodge) but WWII (specifically the Communist Russians) took my grandfather's 1930s Mercedes Benz truck long before it was a classic. And by "took" I mean stole at gunpoint. But it was for "the war effort"
  8. Yes, been saying it all along. Agreed.
  9. The thread about GM coming to their senses about their brands is the silver lining I was waiting for. I hope to see a brand NEW Pontiac or Buick in my driveway someday, it's nice to see that it's not a false hope. ----- More Good News: PCS is full of fertilizer.
  10. Cool. Congrats. BMW motorcycles, with their wacky horizontally opposed motors are the coolest non-car BMWs since a certain "109" from six decades ago with an inverted V-12.
  11. Small world, I'm listening to Metallica's Garage Inc.
  12. I have never been, am not now, nor will ever be a fan of Hell666ry Clinton. She's a carpet-bagger, opportunist, anit-american & liar of epic proportions.
  13. Yup.... clogged cat would make sense.... also: MAF?
  14. Very cool post! Remember like 8 years ago when Speed Channel was cool? (when it was SPEEDVISION and not NASCAR TV) I have a VHS tape from about that era, or maybe 1998/99 of European Cab-Over Semi racing. and NO its not done around a oval, it's on a circuit. They turn left and right, and the power-slides & drifting is epic.
  15. The more I find out about B.H.O. the less I like the guy. http://www.panasianbiz.com/2008/10/09/39-b...terry-anderson/ Too bad that McCain, although the lesser of two evils, is no shining star himself.
  16. O.B. You've never offended me. if anything I hijacked your Fit thread, if you want, you should feel free to go to a Honda Dealer and "have a Fit". (I just recycled one of YOUR jokes)
  17. Caterhams are awesome... this summer dozens showed up at a few of the local carshows. ' ---- Those 1980s Alfa Romeos are 1. Ugly as sin 2. Design reminiscent of what a Chinese knockoff of a Volvo would have looked like in 1987 3. Did I mention they're ugly?
  18. Reduce Domestic production/jobs. BAD. and thereby REDUCING overall domestic car production, selling off jobs, people's futures etc. while opening the door, and frankly rolling out a red carpet for more import cars, some of which might end up hurting GM more than even Toyota. Yup.... that's wat we need less, less, less..... While the Japanese grow by leaps and bounds we,the domestic car manufacturers have a fool proof plan to hold up and wave the white flag.
  19. Yup, it's stupifying, saddening and most days enough to piss me off to no end!
  20. My PS2 has never done that, not that I've used it in the last 18 months. That would def. piss me off, what an annoyance. One time while in the middle of a game of Heroes of the Pacific the power went out just as I was in a dogfight with a Japanese plane in my F4U and about to break some personal record. It was stellar, I used some nasty words.
  21. 66S: yup! As far as RWD, it makes the BEST winter beaters in climates where you get tons of snow/ice.
  22. LOL @ Camino. I'm not sure everyone who reads that will understand it was a complement.
  23. perhaps, but they certainly are NOT in any shape to be buying one of their biggest competitors.
  24. Here in the USA: okay... if you add GMC. Dump SAAB, Saturn & Hummer. Although Saturn should be brought into the Buick Pontiac GMC family subtly to emphasize that its' product line will be "given" to Pontiac and then slowly, kind of like the Datsun name on the Nissan products sold in the USA, have the Saturn name fade inot the sunset.
  25. Agreed. Some of those '70s/'80s cars with the retarded hidden, tucked away fuse boxes have a feature almost no owner/driver will ever notice or use because they are completely oblivious to it... the fuse box TILTS down and towards you with the pull of a lever which makes access much better, though in most cases you still need to contort yourself with the door open to see it or pull fuses.
