Surefire plan to save gasoline!

Recommended Posts

I want to let you guys in on a little secret. I've come up with a plan (it's brilliant, if I do say so myself), to save a bunch of money on gasoline with my Sierra. I told you guys before, my neighbors have a Yaris. OK, the plan is this: tonight, under cover of darkness (and I'm going to dress in a black leotard and paint my face black to ensure I go undetected), I am going to SWITCH GAS TANKS between my truck and the tiny Yaris. What do you guys think? Huh? It's quite the brainstorm, eh? Instead of $90+ to fill my tank, it might take about, ohhh... $35. KaCHING! Instant savings at the pump! I just wonder how long it will take my neighbor to notice how much more gas her car uses all of a sudden. :scratchchin:

Here's a better idea. Siphon the gas out of the Yaris and put it into the Sierra. Then, the MPG calculator in the Yaris will start showing markedly decreased fuel economy, to the point where the owner will want to get rid of it. Then you can tell him or her to buy a Sierra, because your MPG calulator now shows 35MPG. Then when the Sierra arrives, you'll have even more gas at your disposal.

O.B. you're a class clown!

Nothing pisses me off more than when someone is trying to tell you

just how fuel efficient thier Japanese small car is, so then you talk

REAL MPG numbers about your Cadillac and their comparison goes

something like:

Well, it only costs me about $45 to fill my tank in my little Accord EX

and that lasts me the WHOLE week, I get great fuel economy!

>>>> me: ok, but what are you actually getting, what is the MPG?

A full tank of gas lasts the whole week and I drive a LOT.

>>>> me: do you understand the difference between ACTUAL MPG

numbers & that non-nonsensical, useless statement you just made?

This kind of thing drives me bananas!!!!

It's like you ask me: How much $/hr. do you make at UPS?

It's not a lot, I go to Wendy's four or five times a week and

I put a full tank of regular unleaded in my '77 Cadillac & 75%

of my paycheck is gone...

>>>>>>>>> you: Ooooookay, but how much is it? How many dollar$ an hour?

Well, the other day I spent my entire UPS paycheck on eBay

and all I bought was a new intake & carb. for my '63 Imapala.

That's a good indicator, no?
