Pontiac Cars and Parts

Recommended Posts

I had heard of this guy but never been to his place.

I miss fining a lot of these kinds of cars around. We had some yards here that used to have some very good and old rare cars but many have been closed down and cleaned up.

I remember picking up a green 1960 Pontiiac with a bad engine mount from a little old lady years ago. I drove it to the shop to change the mount. I never realized till I drove it that here car had no power steering and at here 5 foot 4 she had the arms of a trucker. That car also had the interior in the yellow and green colors still sealed in plastic. THe only rust was on the lower 1/4. The original paint still had a shine.

The car wanted to run 50 MPH with the broken mount pulling the throttle. I often wonder where that car got to.

Whatthe??? 5 or 6 B-59s ??

{sending parts request...}

Cool, this guy & I roll in the same gutters. j/k.

I saw the B-59s listed in inventory after I posted the link...was curious if you'd pick up on them :AH-HA_wink:

Saw his ad in Smoke Signals and was surprised at how many cars he has!

...as for me, I am more of a GTO guy. Great site, thanks for sharing it! Liked the maroon 68-69 (think 68) GTO ragtop in his friends section that was undergoing resto, also the aqua blue Goat his sister is standing in front of.

Liked the dropped 64 that lady brought from down south too...

Even though the cars he sends to the crusher are junkers, it is still sad seeing the claw go through the roof of the Poncho's in the "gone forever" section.

balthazar, if I get ever a chance to go out east I'll buy you a steak and enjoy your company if your willing. I forgot how beuatiful these old fullsize cars are, I remember them from when I was a kid...and rarely see them at car shows around here.

Seeing a 65 Grand Prix in horrible shape was also a shame, as i saw a beuatiful black one at the Broad and High street intersection yesterday...

...and I wonder what he means about Muncie yard? I grew up in Muncie, Indiana and there were several yards around twenty five years ago with cool old cars. Would be cool if any of them were still around...

A free meal- I'm there! Seriously; anytime. You can have the DeLuxe Balthazar Shop Tour (which allows you to bypass the gift shop thru the side door).

First & last time I was in OH was on the way to school in Detroit many moons ago.

Spent some time looking through their parts cars, 62 Buick convertible, and a 65 Skylark convertible would be fun cars if I had eleventy billion dollars and someone else to do the work.

I do miss when these cars were on the damn road...

The B-59's at desert vally seemed kind of picked over...what are you looking for balthazar?

One thing for a while: a factory fan guard. Fan seems rather exposed underhood (no shroud), and it might aid in cooling a bit (I have an AL big-tube radiator anyway). Seems uncommon- not sure if it's an A/C piece (10% of production), or early production or what.

EDIT -- OK- just tried BP's DVAP link- nice site; too many use the 'parts request' form- waste of time.

I see the guard in question on the last B-59, I'll have to get a price.

Thanks BP! And you're right 66; VERY picked over cars- someone needed a rear window surround, wow.
