A guy in Lowell MA has a clean low milage 1989 9C1 in burgundy,

the car has low miles and a few performance add-ons but it's got

a lot of rot around the rear wheelwells. He wants like $6000 for it

but if he had been realistic and asked like $2300 I would have

bought it. We worked togeather at Chevrolet of Lowell, he was

actaully one of the best mechanics there if not THE best. At one

point in the early 90s he got a job offer from Callaway in Conn.

thats actully a deal. since mine being a 305 and around 80,000 miles fresh repaint, but bad bodywork, beaten interior. Excellent mechanical i can get easily $4k for it. I have A/C Crusie Control and AM/FM Radio No Cassette. No power windows or locks or seats.

If there weren't rust bubbles all over the rear quarters & holes in the

rear wheel well lips I'd say it was ALL the money for this car... it's

nice but it's not mint or anything. Then again I'm a picky bastard

since I bought a solid Fleetwood Broughams for $650 and XP scored

a 1979 red-on-white-on-white Coupe DeVille for $300.

So a 1989 Caprice Classic for $6000 better still have plastic on the

seats & less than 20,000 miles on the odometer. :P

I'm not a Republican but I'm definately NOT a Democrat either...

I thought I'd share this not for political reasons but just because

it's a funny attempt at humor, or perhaps a serious commentary

that's desguised as a joke.

Either way "I don't care who you are, that's funny right there...!"

So I'm looking up Lincoln Mk VIIIs for deftonesfan and I come across this:

http://www.worldwidearmor.com/for_sale_28.html

An armored (to the hilt) 1996 Lincoln MkVIII in Arizona.

I love the car and would love to own something like this

but the car is $41,000 firm!

Then I noticed a few crimes against the Automotive world:

Well, I did draw it back when I started the project, so yes. Dreaming: block-sanded primer & Nitro-Stan in the scratches and out on the road, chasing down mercedes' & BMWs.

I was originally going with speed discs and flamethrowers, but those details have been out for quite some time. In fact I am going to sell the speed discs I've been storing in their boxes from JC Whitney for over 10 years, tho I still do dream of flamethrowers...

Balthy:

1. Wait until a riced out Civic pulls up behind you in heavy traffic

2. Turn on Flamethrower for about 17 seconds

3. Take digital photo of Civic with $1500 worth of melted body kit.

4. Repeat as necessary

Shouldn't that pic be in "The Other Guys" section under the headline "New Tundra Revealed!"? :scratchchin:

That is way more refined, masculine & clean in design than any Tundra.

That's a Russian Sukhoi Su-30 flying level at approximately 1 meter off the deck at a Chinese air show. Not photoshopped, not doctored, its legit. The pilot, Anatoliy Kvochur, is the same one who ejected from a MiG-29 milliseconds before it hit the ground in that infamous video clip. Great skill, great planes, just awesome. Can't make fun of the Russians after seeing that.

When Cadillac or Buick bring back a pillarless 2-door hardtop, I will literally go outside and dance in the streets.

Mercedes has brought back this very American style. Something still so sexy about a hardtop coupe with all the windows down on a summer's day.

If I'm not mistaken Mercedes has had continuous production of at least one

two door hardtop for like 40 years now... if they missed a year or two it's

still a lot better than GM that gave up on Hardtops all togeather in 1976.

Yeah, well, GM may have given up on hardtops, but Mercedes gave up on being Mercedes about fifteen years ago. They can make a hardtop A-Class if they want, I don't care; can't be anymore unsafe than the original A, anyway.
