There are three cars in this auctions, the first being this 1978 Sunbird Concept with a retractable canvas roof and a factory fresh 246 miles:

All of them can be yours for $4,800. Which one of you will be the first to take this man's offer?

I actually find this pretty interesting.

Too bad the Monzas aren't earlier cars (they were much better looking).

those hatchback monzas seem to be a frequent drag car conversion these days

That Sunbird concept has some interesting bodywork. Haven't seen Monzas or other H-bodies in decent shape in ages...forgot they made the hatchbacks w/ the base chrome bumpers and round headlights, used to the body color bumpers and rectangular lights..

I love how the Sunbird was given more differentiation from Monza than any other H-body. Those are 3 sweet little cubic zirconias (was gonna say "gems", but). It would be fun to have any of the three, but the Pontiac, restored, would be totally cool. I like how the back glass presages the Fiero flying buttresses.

Seen a few of these bodystyle cars made into sweet little Showroom stock and improved touring SCCA race cars back in the day.,..too bad those cars have mostly been long retired.

The Sunbird is very cool. As a matter of fact, I would find no shame in restoring it.

This guy is in Ft. Wayne ... that's not too far away from Louisville. If I only had a little extra cash.

They always were.

Huge in NHRA pro-stock in their day.

Always wanted to build one.
