Mac had been going down hill for sometime from cancer, losing weight, no energy, going blind. He was a shadow of his former, fiesty self. He will be missed.

Losing a canine companion is a very difficult situation. Part of the reason I've resisted the temptation to get another dog after losing my little Meggie back in December of 2005. Good luck to you in your healing process.

Tinky, a Silky rescue..

Ahhhh....nice to see someone else with a silky-haired terrier. We had one, named Fibber, for a number of years. My parents bought him as a pup, and we had to put him to sleep, December 1997 at the age of 17, iirc.

Very sorry for your loss ... thoughts/prayers en route....

Thoughts and prayers man.....it's never easy, that is for sure.

It does remind you to give and extra hug to your old dog....

I can't believe our dog Catera is nearly 12 already....

Sorry to hear that. Dogs are special members of the family, and it's hard to let them go.

Last year, I had to put down my old pitt-beagle (don't ask) because she had intestinal cancer. Still miss her; she was a good doggie.
