I think this is the first time I've read of journalists not having issues with a C7.

Granted I find the C7's so bloody hideous, I don't read about them often.

I find them quite the opposite.

That being said, were I to spend that much on a new car methinks I would own a Shelby 350 R Mustang.

I'm kind of neutral on the looks of the C7. In "regular" form it's only "okay" to me. But dressed up in its race track clothes on the GS and Z06 I like. Granted, in those clothes it looks very much boy-racer with all the little bits and pieces added on.

Also, I think the Z06 was the only C7s that have had issues. I don't think I can recall a Stingray or GS with any issues.

Sting Rays had some issues the first year, C&D had a very early engine failur, but I am sure that is a non-issue at this point.

They choose NSX?  No other magazine had great things to say about it.

I like the MT Best Drivers' Car better, at least they do not afraid to pick lower end cars like Focus ST, Miata etc. Cheapest car in this test is $90k.  At least you can see how the more budget friendly cars stand up to the big hitters.

It is great to play Dream Garage but I really would wish magazines make more comparisons for regular people budget, not just the 1%.

Agreed.  Plus you can drive a Fiesta ST at its limit a whole lot easier than you can a C7 Z06.

Finally got around to reading the whole piece.

They absolutely loved the Evora. Which is good. And considering their gushing over the NSX, very surprising. I don't think I've read such kind words about the NSX at any other source. Many have been downright critical. I definitely think the car is overhyped here. It really makes me want to drive one to see what it's all about. I have a philosophical difference of preference, but these guys make it sound like it's a revelation.

I was also surprised by their positive words on the GT-R. Other than outright track performance, most others have been ho-hum on it. The 911 Turbo beating everyone on the track on regular Pilot Super Sports was amazing. Just goes to show the phenomenal levels of performance that car has to offer.

I can't help but feel like the Lotus or Vette were robbed here. Money-no-object, I'd take the R8 here. Near as usable and fast as the 911 Turbo, but more exotic and dramatic. Factor in real-world cost, and I'd take the Grand Sport. In the exact color combo as the car R&T had.
