  1. '09 Malibu is gone, 9 years & 134K miles, a good car overall but started to have some minor issues at the end, decided to let it go. Going to miss one of the nicest sedan designs of that decade, IMO. Broke our SOP and kept the 'family sedan' past 110K miles. In rolls the replacement, a '16 Malibu LT, 28K miles.

  3. Elon should NOT have sent that tweet. Better to buy the stock than actually talk about buying the stock.

  4. No restoration- my truck is done.

  5. Cadillac has owned the vertical lighting signature when everything else has horizontals (here; mostly talking about taillights), it would be another unique design distinction to re-intro a markedly 'formal' roofline.

  6. I rarely post non-manufacturer "concept" art... but this was just dead sexy. Cadillac could totally pull this off and make a coupe with actual distinction over something like the CLS or 6-series jellybeans.

  7. It's not individual "reinventions". The brand builds American luxury / well-performing (or scorchingly so) vehicles, as it has for most of it's history (not all, of course). These public statements aren't supposed to indicate 'difference'; they are a remnant of Corporate-think where sales were the be all, end all. It's outmoded, and frankly, consumers don't know or care. One of my 'mandate wishes' for Cadillac has actually happened already; the discontinuance of monthly sales reports. Hopefully, future sales projections will likewise never be released again. Add to that, there should never again be public declarations of 're-' anything; invention, investment, dedication, etc. Cadillac should only speak of what they actually are doing : a evolutionary strive forward to be among the best. God- I would love to run Cadillac for a few years. Unless it's a mid-size SUV; then they do want a Cadillac. Your metric; sales - isn't the XT5 #2 in it's segment? No model is ever a 'savior' for a brand (well; maybe the cayenne/macan for porsche), but the XT4, especially in light of recent reviews I've seen, should perform very well for Cadillac volume-wise (not that I care about high volume). Were it to also get to #3 or #2 in its segment, that's a very significant statement that people want Cadillacs.

  8. Tesla has LOST 21 Billion in market cap from its peak (and with the stock market at it's historical high). Where is the company's 'growth', exactly?

  9. I'm starting to warm up to a Blazer more and more. I had an Aztek, so how can I not like the Blazer! I think chevy put out Blazer pictures into the wild so soon, so people could adjust and get used to it.

  10. '10-15s are too safe and BO-RING. '10 looks good above the bumper, but the bumper with those cinder blocks on either ends just doesn't look integrated. Also always looks like it's tipping forward/loose. I have no complaints about the '15, but it's time to stir things up. Remember the Silverado MCE recently where people were wondering if 'Chevy went far enough / won't look new' to too many people? Ta-da!

  11. Listen bub- I've got a hard crush developing, so you're not going to be able to tell me anything. ;) Seriously, I don't see them the same at all. Prius looks like someone reversed the crusher lever before it got irreversibly mashed.

  12. ? He broke the law, tried to cover it up. Why can they just not fire him? Any other person would get fired for breaking company rules, yet executives get rewarded. I just do not get it.

  14. No because I was unable to take either one off-road to try 4L and Crawl. ECT Power is like a Sports mode where settings are changed to provide more oomph. ECT 2nd I'm guessing is having the transmission begin in second gear.

  15. That's like saying the Prius is the boldest hybrid... They're both "bold" in the same way.

  16. ^ Ya, ya, ya! I 've looked 2 over (exterior) and 'I got no problem wit dat' whatsoever. Was curious about the complexity of the front end- no problem. Was curious about the front fender 'swish'- no problem. I think it's the most striking Silverado in decades (yet I don't know WHY exactly). I have an '04 (bought 2nd hand on '06) and I've never thought it was a "good looking" truck. Passable, decent, yet not "good". Sat in a brand new '18 tonight, wasn't really impressed. A few features were neat, others I didn't care for. I'm still gunning for a '19. Maybe a leftover in 12 months...

  17. Japan's auto market is hardly growing all that much AND most US cars are not made for Japan. This agreement will not change those facts on the ground at all.

  18. Having gone to college at Kobe University and staying with a family. I was allowed to use their son's Ninja bike as he never rode it. Japan is very small and tight on space and their Buss, taxi and train system is the best in the world. 98% of the time you do not need an auto to get around unless you are rich. Auto's are mostly for the rural areas, not the inner city where the bulk of the citizens live. I rode the lovely bike they had bought for their spoiled son on the weekends in the mountains where there is no speed limits and huge mirrors on all the corners, you just carve up using the whole road.

  22. Friends of mine bought the Tiguan. They really like it. It seems like a more expensive vehicle than it is.

  23. Yup. The're both pretty ugly.. The Chevy looks much better with the chrome bar body color as it seems to hide some of the nastiness going on around the headlight/fender area.

  24. I would not. Ram and F150 look soooooo much better than the Silverado.

  25. That picture actually reminds me of either the Toyota or Nissan full size I saw the other night and was forgettable. This truck is Meh. That front end is a busy mess. PASS. GMC is way better. I think you hit this right on, tweaks is all that is needed, the only thing I am puzzled by is your comment on the busy grill. Is there a front facing image that shows this differently as I do not see the grill in this side profile as busy.
