^^^ I had the same thought when I read DFELT's post. A picture is said to be worth a thousand words. But...art could also be translated a thousand ways. A photograph is most certainly art. If one person wants to interpret that photogragh as a sexist one, than that person is sick in the head. Those women, are free to work, make money and buy anything they want to buy. They dont need a "man" to support them. What I see also, in that pic, is that a man is reliant on a woman, MANY women, to get his car on the road because it seems he is incompetent to do it on his own. WAIT A MINUTE???!!! You are correct, it IS sexist. It shows that older white males are dumb and stupid and cant pump their own gas and need women to survive. I call BEE ESSSSSS on that!!!2 points

I don't get it. Are there people that think ANY picture of a woman doing ANYTHING is somehow sexist? Who are these people?2 points

This is what 12 years of LaCrosse looks like . . . . Incredible salad bar (clockwise) bacon wrapped chicken, flank steak, parmesan crusted chicken drumettes, and top sirloin (picanha); why bore you with car photos? I'm figuring that, if I've gotten another year of reasonably hassle free service, I can head over this chain Brazilian steakhouse on the day(s) they feature their lunch menu. (I get taken here for my birthday, as it is!) BTW, the car sits at slightly over 95,000 miles. Have a great day.2 points

GMC had a hit on their hand when they introduced the GMC Canyon for the 2015 model year, but they've not done a lot to refresh the truck visually since then. Six years is a long time for a truck to go without a refresh, but in 2021 the Canyon will get one. In addition to the visual refresh, the Canyon is getting a new AT4 trim line like that of its big brother the Sierra. The AT4 designation brings new 31-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires on 17-inch aluminum wheels, an off-road tuned suspension with advanced hill descent control system, four-wheel drive standard along with a G80 rear automatic locking differential, and a transfer case skid plate. Visually, the grille is larger and there are now red recovery hooks. The seats have Kalahari stitching in AT4 headrest embroidery. The Denali is also getting some upgrades. The grille has been updated with a more sculpted and layered pattern. Chrome assist steps are standard along with a swath of other chrome accents. It is equipped with 20-inch diamond cut wheels and the look has been updated to match the Sierra. Inside there is now open-pore ash wood trim, aluminum trim, unique stitching, and a new cocoa/dark atmosphere color theme. Heated/Cooled seats and a heated steering wheel are standard. Both trims come standard with the 308 horsepower 3.6-liter V6 or the 2.8-liter diesel with 369 lb-ft of torque. The 2021 Canyon will go on sale later this year. View full article1 point

If we are going to do this sexist thing and call white males dumb. We might as well do it right: Dumb white males and their muscle cars/exotic cars with their scantily clad bimbos!!! ? Dont forget the rock-n-roll!1 point

There was this brand of "big hair" ... and the Farrah Fawcett brand of "big hair." And, per the pumps, I'm assuming at least of one these ladies may be named "Ethel."1 point

Still surprised that they want to kill off the Fusion for the amounts of cars they are moving there. I also think they could easily keep the Flex going still.1 point

Some might say this is a sexist picture, I say the woman just give ya a better attention to detail.1 point

SUVs being down for a company switching to only SUVs doesn't look great but I guess a couple new products arriving late in 2019(one of them being a botched launch) should set them up for a solid 2020. It's great to see the Expedition finally taking off.1 point

A MCE and a new trim level. Good. Gotta keep Ford and Dodge and the Japanese midsize trucks at bay.1 point

I was wondering why the Venza was discontinued. Almost every other automaker has a CUV positioned where the Venza was. I wonder how the Venza will compete in today's auto marketplace.1 point

Good grief autocorrect. "Capsule" instead of "cause"? Way to go Skynet.1 point

Hell, they better never take my full size Trucks/SUVs as I will never fit in anything. I will stop my rant now before I go off the deep end of my soap box about all the Shitty Little Subcompacts / compacts that companies think the world should pay luxury prices for that are not worth it. Totally agree, so tired of gutless auto's that cannot merge at highway speed or move when a semi or bus is coming and they force them to brake hard and cause congestion. Europe can keep their worthless powerless auto's.1 point

I get that and agree the people buying them aren't looking to race them but 169hp from a n/a motor(meaning it also has dogsh!t for torque) matched to a CVT is a combo to reads passing problems. Those GLAs and X1s atleast produce some torque. They also make a considerable amount more horsepower and probably around 100 lb-ft more torque. GLA produces 208hp/258tq X1 produces 228hp/258tq It is a completely different landscape there with much different driving circumstances.1 point

Having a craptastic CVT doesn’t help the capsule either. $42K for that is a joke.1 point

Point(s) also taken on my part on your rebuttal. True, but I was more talking about how we went from normal sized cars from the end of WW2 to the excess craze that happened from the mid-1950s that lasted all the way to the mid-1970s and each year in that time period, chrome got more utilized, wheelbases increased, cars got longer and wider, etc. Granted, 1920s and 1930s luxury cars were huge too, but that is for another discussion another day. Yes, todays cars are heavier, but they arent bigger or wider. Ill secede some of my rant, its true that us too, in North America, we are heading to a more European and Asian trend of going smaller. Some reasoning is that of what I said about Europe. But more of the polluting side of petrol cars rather than rationing it. But...its the governmental push worldwide that is forcing us North Americans to go that route. At least we still have our wide open spaces though... And our 2500 and 3500 heavy duty pick-up trucks as a last middle finger salute to all opposed of our excessive way of life!!!1 point

169hp and a CVT is ridiculous for the lux CUV segment. Toyota/Lexus, who are still resting on their laurels from the 90's and 00's must think their new car buyers are clueless and in some ways they're right, especially if they buy one of these $41K RAV4/UX "F Sport" crossovers. Same with MB in many ways. If the L or 3 pointed star badge is all they want for $40K+ then let them suffer.1 point

In all fairness, that would be a different market and the rules been played with are waaaaay different than what rules we play with. And moreso to it than that our luxury rules are pretty much bigger is better, which not only lends itself to mean bigger engines and more power, but it also means huge, large, heavy vehicles to go with those bigger engines, and those huge vehicles actually do require bigger engines and bigger outputs BECAUSE they got bigger. And we still play by those rules somewhat today. In Europe though, old cities exist, and when I mean old cities, I really do mean old. Quebec City is as old as it gets in North America, but by European standards, Quebec City is STILL in its infancy... With that being said, there arent many wide and open spaces in Europe to accomodate EVERYONE to own our kind of luxury for cars. And after 2 devastating wars on that continent, petrol rations and taxes on said petrol to rebuild have made their mark as to why in Europe, small cars and small engines continue to be. So... Yeah...I also agree with CCAP's statement. In OUR market for OUR market. Thankfully, I dont live in Europe, nor do I ever plan to live in Europe. Europe, could kiss my Greek ass... (great history Europe has, but the political hypocrisy is so much more unbearable there than here. California and Hollyweird times a thousand to give you a clue) I do see myself visiting Greece often though... its not so bad there. Really. Plus Im...Greek.1 point
