  1. Love that car in the garage. While I obviously like the shrunken down and refreshed colonnade coupes of about the same time and which had a fairly vertical backlite, they took the rear window all the way out to the edges, and that's where the moldings were installed. On the Toro-Riv and Eldorado of this genre, the rear window has that slight inset away from the edges, either with a vinyl roof or with a regular sheet metal surround that was the same as the body color. The latter was less common, but definitely interesting to look at! It gave them a limousine type look. The shrunken down and newly FWD Cadillac Coupe and Sedan de Villes used the same treatment when they were not decked out with a vinyl roof. However, like yours, most of them seemed to have vinyl roofs. This must have been a while back. Look at the price on the windshield. I'd even hop on a Greyhound to purchase this one. Looks like Texan suburbia. Nice! How I miss an all-brick ranch home with lower pitched hip roofs. I used to live in one when I lived in Atlanta. With all the red brick, the carport under the roofline on one side, and all that Southern pine making it seem like you were living in a forest, it was nice to come home to.

  2. I learned an interesting fact RE the dawn of the automobile/fueling question. Ford engineered the Model T to run as a flex fuel vehicle; gas, kerosene or alcohol. The reason behind that was Henry Ford wanted to see the farmer be as self-sufficient as possible, and farms always had one or the other of those fuels on-site, and could make corn alcohol themselves. So there really was no ‘fueling anxiety’ in the early years.

  3. Its a very SOLID level 3 tho... (on the highway) How solid you asked, again? A VERY solid. But on the highway only. Maybe. No, for sure. Because its a very solid #3.

  4. First real snow of the season. Jeep is safe and warm in the garage, not going anywhere. Snow started about 6 pm last night, still coming down.

  5. Yes, I love being in a neighborhood with brick houses and lots of trees. Fun factoid—the house with two snow covered cars in the driveway—one is a blue Lincoln Mark VII LSC, and there is a Buick Grand National in the garage. Of those ‘79-85 E-bodies the Eldorado was my favorite. Love the crisp lines. I like the Riviera also.

  6. They should keep doing evolutions of the current series rather than shitcanning it all because the motive power changes. That’s a lot of equity to throw away…

  7. Interesting review from one of the first owners to take delivery of their R1t and I have to say I am really liking the interior. More of his videos can be seen here: TEDActuallyTalks - YouTube Have to say these owner reviews are better than the media reviews, I think. Like the way he built his truck in color and features.

  8. Interesting news release, 2021 was a year where Diesel autos lost out to the larger selling BEVs in Europe. Seems the flip is on to cleaner emission autos for personal use. Battery electric car sales finally overtook the diesel institution in Europe (greencarreports.com) Pretty cool read on the all-new Volvo Electric Semi truck that has confirmed it delivers on range and performance for the Class 8 truck industry. Like the looks of this truck. Charged EVs | Volvo’s FH Electric heavy-duty truck proves range and energy efficiency in independent testing - Charged EVs

  9. That noise is a deal breaker for me, Lucid pass as I would not want that noise on the inside. My escalade is more quiet than that 6 figure luxury auto.

  10. • 'SLE' is the bottom trim level in the Yukon (SLE/ SLT/ AT4/ Denali). You can't get leather in an SLE, in the SLT it's standard. • That is a tremendous blind spot from the inside- yikes! • I'm not tall (5'8"), I specifically didn't order running board on my Sierra; I have a hop/pull method of gettin up into it, but it's not bad. A trade off for more ground clearance/better sight lines.

  12. As a Cowboys fan...all I wanna say, because its been too long of a time since I actually could say it with pride, but somehow saying it in shame works just as well THIS time around.
