  1. On mine, there is a box on the lower right marked 'PARTS CONTENT INFORMATION'.

  2. Wait for retroactive tariffs, ICE will be by to reposes a large part of your car and send it back across the border/across the ocean. I can't navigate to that portion of the window sticker.

  3. This is weird that you do not have in the lower right hand corner the Part Content listing that is supposed to be there as it became a requirement in 1994. This is a failure from Ford / Lincoln if that is the original label. You can look up the part content by going here: Part 583 American Automobile Labeling Act Reports | NHTSA It is current but who knows for how long since Idiot47 and his Dark master Musk is destroying the U.S. Specifically for 2017 this is the complete list of all Auto makers: 2017_aala_alpha_year.pdf I find it weird that Ford list's it as 61% U.S. / Canada Content and blanks for where the rest comes from. In fact looking at this, Ford/Lincoln seems to do a terrible job of reporting their actual part content, but he did say on Fox News this week that Ford brings in about 40% of parts from across the globe for assembly in their auto's that they build in the U.S. and Canada. My EV9 which was one built in Korea is listed as 100% assembled in Korea, 95% parts from Korea and 4% parts from United States, 1% from China. I suspect the 1% is the raw materials for the battery pack.

  4. Speaking of origin of parts, reading the window sticker 26% of the parts on my Cadillac came from China, 22% from Mexico, 38% from the US/Canada.

  5. A huge number of critical parts are imported, especially tech parts from places like Taiwan. Remember during covid all of the parking lots full of assembled vehicles awaiting parts because they couldn't be completed? I see something like this happening. As much as I make Noam Chomsky look like George W Bush, and as much as I $h! talk Washington and this country, I really would rather buy stuff made in the USA at the end of the day. Maybe we will start building more stuff here. We will see. I am unsure, I was joking also. As a GM product, it is self disassembling, it does not need Chinese help. I joke I joke...but in every bit of sarcasm, a bit of truth... And then people bitch that their room wasn't cleaned when they had do not disturb on the door all day. Americans are not known for great intellect, at least not most of us. Carl Sagan and Niel Degrasse Tyson are notable exceptions.

  6. It's a GM car made with Chinese parts, those parts are probably already broken and ready to fall off. 🤣 I joke I joke What portion is it supposed to be in?

  7. Where can this be found? I have my window sticker but I don't see a breakdown on it. Also, what about the other 14%? Lincoln Navigator Window Sticker.pdf

  8. It is the bigger picture that many parts for the auto industry come from China. Example is pretty much all new electric parts such as Alternator, distributor caps, etc. most come from China. It is not about the few Buick or Ford, etc. fully built auto's that come from China, but the bigger area of individual parts. Not totally in agreement on this as California has a huge culture of EV conversion on these vans. I think it is mostly maybe a European issue.

  9. Of all industries to kill, the auto industry isn't one of them. There are only a handful of autos built in China, right? Nautilus, Envision, and probably something else.

  10. 104% Chinese Tariff, talk about killing the auto industry.

  11. They seemingly can't come up with a solution for this: if you put a "do not disturb" placard on your lodging location's door handle, when the door is opened or closed, the placard seems to fall to the floor about half the time ... it's almost like a coin toss. Sad.

  12. MECHANICAL PHOTOS This is the engine bay and the hood uses a prop rod. The engine is a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder (HEV) augmented by an electric motor. The label shows conformance to all emission standards for model year 2025 and that OBD II just keeps going The orange fittings and plumbing apparently indicate what is part of the hybrid model, as was the case in a Honda Accord Hybrid I drove during the last year - - - - - END OF PHOTOS

  14. The BYD Han interior does look really good. Shame the outside looks like a 2-generations-ago Civic.

  15. No one cares about that amount of horsepower in this class. These are chauffeur driven vehicles. Up until electrics came around, most were trundling around with 2.0T 4-cylinders or diesels. While Genesis is still relatively new to us in the the U.S., they've made such strides on interior quality that I'd put them up against MB dollar for dollar. The nicest of the Chinese EVs sedans, the NIO ET7 is a pretty good looking car though I kinda think it looks like a Model-3 had it's way with a Buick Envista. It would do really well in the US up against the Teslas, but it is still not playing in the luxury ballpark with Genesis (or Benz or Audi) when it comes to design and materials. Low end EQE Sedan rival? Sure. G90 rival? No.

  16. You’re thinking in purely North American terms. China and Middle East still have decent sedan sales. It costs Genesis next to nothing to put a couple of these on a boat to the US with some GV80s. The boat is already headed that direction anyway. As for coupes and convertibles, these are just concepts for now, but as platform flexibility increases with the move to EV, I think we will see he return of lower volume body styles like these.

  17. Yes Genesis is not as high as they were in 2017 for the G90, but they have been slowly climbing the last 3 years, so we will see how it goes. I think breaking it out as a stand alone luxury division is a smart move. https://carfigures.com/us-market-brand/genesis/g90 Yet if you look at U.S. total sales of all models, Genesis has continued to increase in sales each year. Genesis | US Market Brands | CarFigures It is not a sprint, but a marathon of luxury quality autos.

  18. I will agree that is a good-looking car, but I never see them around the PNW and as such only the HUGE Kidney bean grilled cars and SUVs
