So, unfortunately no, especially on a vehicle that age... and there is precedent for it. The most you can hope for is some sort of Visa gift card for a very modest amount IF you kick up enough stink with Lincoln Customer Service. Back in the mid-2000s, the Buick Lucerne and the Cadillac DTS had heated washer fluid. There was an initial fix to move the system to a larger fuse, but the systems still were shorting out and causing fires. The supplier ended up going into bankruptcy over it. The recall was to disconnect the system and owners received a $100 gift card. That's while the cars were still in production, so I can't imagine Lincoln doing much for yours now.3 points

I understand the age and whatnot. I just think the "fix" itself is total BS. I don't think anybody should lose a feature they paid for over a recall. The recall is admitting they screwed up somewhere whether it's design or manufacturing. I'll attempt to make a bigger stink with Lincoln over this. I can't even take this serious if they can't use the correct "your" in the title's image.2 points

That is why my conversion of my 1994 GMC Suburban never happened and I eventually sold it as I am past the project phase and now into the Grandkids phase. There is no way in hell I could trust this as a daily driver, and would not drop coin on it given past reliability issues. Hell, even for a rental, I think I would turn the keys back over to the rental agent and ask for something else. Honda, Toyota, Subaru please? Think the Passport is much better looking. For that amount of $, I would also prefer a Toyota 4 Runner, infinitely better resale and reliability, and would fit my needs as a camping/hiking vehicle much better.1 point

I like the Acadia. I'm happy with it in base form. This one is uptown. I was given one as a rental and enjoyed it. Partly, GMC is sort of a "novelty" compared to Chevrolet, which I think most of us or our families have owned. I never recall getting into the turbo boost phase. The 2.5 is probably enough. I appreciate the geared automatic. Also, I like the way the infotainment screen is engaged in the dash.1 point

I think it’s only the recent EVs that don’t have AA/CP. The normal vehicles still have it, don’t they? My sister’s ‘23 Equinox has AA/CP. From what I found online, various models like the 2025 Equinox, Silverado, Tahoe, Corvette, CT5, Escalade are all available with AA/CP, so it doesn’t seem to have gone away.1 point

You and I both, brother. I just love that class of vehicle. They're sporty, fun, practical, and not (typically) all that expensive to own/operate. They're just all around great vehicles. I'd like to say that one day I'll own a Focus RS, too. But, I know damn well I likely won't buy one. By the time I'm in a position to buy an extra car or I no longer need the extra space for a family of 4, I'd be getting something with 2 doors and a V8 anyway.1 point

This is so true and just not on auto's, the number of parts and other product piling up at ports due to people / companies not wanting to pay tariffs is crazy. Seattle/Tacoma/Everett Ports has a ton of product sitting in container's that companies are not willing to pay tariffs on so now it is just sitting there. Small businesses are being hurt and forced to close due to the Tariffs. My sister's appliance company is hurting as they usually have credit, but the company that imports the parts for appliance repairs went to a cash up front from all purchase and have stated they have to pay up front from the companies in China so no more credit, pay at the end of the month, now it is pay as you go. So they are having customers pay up front. The shop I have used, has also told me that the cost of parts is changing almost daily and they have to pay in advance for auto parts. Consumers are going to be hurting big time. We are not making America Great Again, America is being destroyed Again just like in the 1930's due to ignorant people in power.0 points
